Hi Guys, does anyone know where to buy those small double-adhesive disks used to stick the back of a dial to the movement? I once saw them either on cousinsuk, or otto frei, or jules borel, but I don't remember how they are called in English, so I am now unable to find them again. Already browsed tenths pages without finding them. Even just letting me know their name in English would help greatly. Thanks in advance!

I bet that we'll never see 8 day movements in these reps and that good fancy bridges is the best we can expect. Should they make this way the Angelus SF240 I would jump on it istantaneously. I stay away as this is not a good rep yet so far. But -- excited to see a sandwich dial with date showed up!

Yes, unfortunately those small screws (together with radiomir lug screws) seem among the hardest parts to source. I heard that someone found fitting screws in kits for eyeglasses, or at optical shops.

Apart from from asking Jay again, I see two options only: 1 (Qick-and-dirty). If you do not plan to ever remove the movement out from the case, then fasten the crown guard to the case with glue. And fasten the new screw in the empty hole, just for aesthetical reasons. 2 (Trickier but more correct). Preliminarly verify that, with the crown guard removed, the new screw properly engages and fits into its thread in the case. If it does, then dremel the screw's hole in the crown guard so to make its first part (the larger and unthreaded part, that part that is housing the screw's head) 0.5mm deeper. This should allow the screw to go 0.5mm deeper into the crown guard and case, down to the point to engage the thread. The screw's head will look a little too deep, but this should be no problem as it will stay covered by the lever. Sorry, no better idea so far.

I would say that I hardly found two PAMs with interchangeable screws (or interchangeable anything, for that). Did you lose the original screw that fell out?

Febus, while I understand and I surely appreciate your position, I have a feeling that it might just come from a not-very-good choice of the "VIP" word to mark the members who are more contributing financially. Personally, I never meant "VIP" as a member more important than "non-VIP" ones. I too have my own personal ways to think what is more or less important, and they surely do not include financial status. Still, I feel that financial contributions to the wealth of the forum are good to get rewarded with more features and easiness of searching/posting/whatever. I always meant "VIP" nothing more than a quick and sharp word to tell "Contributing Member", and I am sad to think that you forgo all the related bonuses in order to keep a good distance from the very "VIP" word and concept. Even if, as I already said, I surely can see your point. What I am trying to say with my poor English, in the end, is: it's just a word, it has not to be taken literally. Please consider it.

Wow, what a gorgeous strap! Just unsure about the full-white stitching. Should you get bored from white, you may easily and effectively customize it to your desires the way I told here. Congrats about everything, I am sure you will enjoy your purchases. Wear them well!

Excellent choice, IMO. That 111G is not cheap but it is one of the best PAM out there. Even a 'risti would get a hard time on trying to spot it.

You are welcome. Welcome to the forum, too! Don't you already own a 111? As PAMs are highly addictive, may I suggest that upgrading to VIP membership may prove a good idea? It will save you a lot of legwork and will make getting in touch with collectors and modders easier.

The PAMs with the OP mark do actually exist, and they are named the 'logo' models. The model you are referring to is the PAM 005. It is a general rule that, the more features you add on a PAM dial (second subdial, date, logo, etc), the easier is getting a flaw. Unfortunately, Andrew's 005 is no exception. The logo is a little less skewed than it is on the gen (the up arrow should point to the right end of the foot of the "E" letter on "PANERAI", and the down arrow shoult point to the left side of the "6" number). This also makes the logo look a little shifted upside (i.e., a tiny bit too close to the "PANERAI" text). This is a small flaw, but every Paneristi and PAM-lovers RWGers would spot it at first glance. Even more, Paneristi and PAM lovers are not so much into logo models. The second model you said, Andrew's 111G, is an almost perfect rep. Just make you sure that the crown guard is brushed (while the case is polished), and that the cannon pinnion is not recessed (it does not look recessed on the pics, anyway). That said, I would surely go for the 111G.

I like the spirit of the thread so I'll even try to stay below $150. My suggestions: 1 - The Noobmariners (both black and LV). 2 - Silix' PAM 027 ($80 for a decent 027 w/ working PR!) 3 - All Narikaa's non-fantasy watches. Get yourself a VIP membership and everything will become easy!

That's exactly the remark expected from a Breitling lover! BTW, having a small second hand on a specific subdial rather than a large center mounted second hand may help in quickly locating and reading the seconds -- as I guess you already noticed. On the other hand, I have no excuse for the lacking of minute markers -- other than a definitely nicer dial look. I have some PAMs with minute markers (090), or minute markers plus center second hand (027, 028), and I have to admit that they are practical but far less appealing.

Really thanks for this review! I too love the Mini Fiddy and I would not care about it being fantasy. Frankly, I find it even more balanced and appealing than the 47mm Fiddy. The only thing that prevented me from getting one so far is its date lacking. I would also add that it looks a perfect fit on your wrist. Congrats, wear it well!
