Yes, you do have to remove the bars from the deployment and trim the strap.. evenly on both sides.. I would do it one line of rubber at a time and the hassle is .. if you have not done one before to know how much to cut off go slow with the trimming .. and size it a little at a time..which means reattaching the buckle .. you get the picture btw.. what size is your wrist?? I am really blessed to have made so many meaningful friendships.. they say is you make 2 really good friend in your life time you are lucky.. who ever said that never came here.. I was brought to my attention last night that I'll hit 10K in post.. the last time I noticed it was around 8 thousand something.. And then I had to chuckle ... I came to RWG originally to purchase 1 rep. .. I had no intention nor idea that it would grow into staying this long and furthermore making RWG a valued part of my daily routine.. more than routine actually.. I just got off the phone with 2 great friends and ole skool members that are mainstays of this community.. the Rabbi.. and the Brotha from Colorado who both saw me through so mush last year.. I always look forward to conference calls from them.. One, has more projects than NASA going on at once; and the other has more knowledge of Rolex than I could gather in a lifetime.. I'm fortunate to have you guy's in my life.. as RWG is much more than Watches.. So this is where I will lay my 10k post.. it's not the post count that I am noting, that's just a number.. but the real treasure is with the friends and support that this community has given me.. forget the 10k.. but stick around and it's the people in this community, that is what this place is all about .. because this is the internet, makes it all the more unbelievable.. If I can find someone with a Hermes engraving machine.. I could copy the one I have on generic buckles.. find a jeweler.. preferably a small family run .. and if they have anything resembling a Hermes.. it's as easy as tracing the logo.. actually that's what your doing..

Yes they do have the IWC size.. @21mm .. actually I just messaged Kurt last week about the IWC "Honey Tan".. that they used to carry.. it looks OEM and great on the white dial 3717 Spitfire.. but is not on his site.. although he told me he still has them.. I gifted away the last IWC from TWB's .. I ordered it too long.. but the gator was exceptional quality.. In fact now that you posted this I think I'll get on the horn to Kurt and order a black and Honey tan IWC.. maybe Ubi needs a gator for that gorgeous Portu....

Viewing the pics without stronger lighting .. it would appear your case and bracelet is the 316f..the newer metal is a lighter shade of ss.. the 316L or what ever the metal is .... is darker by a couple of shades.. especially in the pics.. and with low filtered light the old metal would not appear as even.. and as light in it's colour..

They are very, very good quality and the price Kurt offers is exceptional.. the one issue are the sizes.. they are a little off the norm.. but I have several gator straps for my Pams.. good long sections in the hide.. Made for deployment or tang buckle TWB.. gators are a definite thumbs up by me..

Also to be fore warned..... if you should get a certified letter from customs .. which I have gotten on occasion.. but I have my addy at a mail center and not my home addy.. so it is signed for by another party..I don't respond.. it would serve no purpose .. my not replying may claim guilt anyway.. once you receive a letter and your items are seized or returned to the point of origin .. you will then be in the "system" as having contraband in the pipeline.. So as Val points out.. a few extra dollars or Euros to order from a dealer who has contacts in the EU or by using a middle man and have it forwarded is worth .. again imo, the extra money.. considering the ramifications ...
