of course the type of metal makes a difference.. plating SS is much different in the process than plating chromium or aluminum .. that is a given... I think I'm missing the point... my focus on this review is with the rep at hand, and the coating used on this particular rep.. I'm no chemist nor a metal engineer.. I know a Quantum Physicist.. maybe I'll ask her what she thinks also

On the left and the right.. the Strap culture on the top right looks good too.. I like Honey Tan for 111's.. but.. you may like the strap culture line too..Heroic is nice but some of their straps are not genuine leather.. so be careful .. try googling .. Wotancraft .. some nice straps .. but if your going to spend 150 usd may as well go to TC Straps and view their daily specials.. they have some nice ones.. I have a Maroon Toscana strap.. brand new you may like.. I'll pick it up and take some pics.. if you like it .. I'll gift it to you for your first Pam..

TC straps has 75/115 .. that is the size you want for your srist.. they have daily specials.. Toscana.. and MP's .. that would be a perfect fit.. or Panatime straps have what you may need. AC/Lani

some like the blue/plum hue of the gen.. chiefs has a very faint plum in extreme lighting .. but after viewing chiefs in person there is no going back .. there is absolutely no reflection and his AR coat on the rep crystal makes the dial POP even more.. it brings out the detail to da Max..

if your talking about the case back.. you can use ductape.. rolled up into a ball and twist with "tension" not force.. or imply visit Watch bitz and get a rubber case opening ball.. I have one and use it for all my watches.. remember it is the tension in the teist and not the force.. like turning a frozen bolt..... tension.. or most of the time thumbs will do.. the case backs are not as tight at times.. And I should comment on the divers strap.. the SABS strap is softer than the Skyland BS.. and fits the buckle much better.. I had to sand down the edges of the strap on the Skyland, the SABS fits perfectly..

Yes.. I listed all the pertinent coatings in the review I believe.. and the TiCN .. will be of the pink colour.. the Titanium and the Carbon Nitride will result in this colour according to the charts.. AS a side.. dunno what is seen in the Desert Storm other than being a cannon of sorts..not very accurate hand gun.. bigger is not always better.. I'll take a 9 anyday..
