  16. My vote would of gone to you if I had voted.. but as I said.. everyone deserved the award.. it is what makes this community so great.. member and rookie of the year was intended for the community to recognize All the members whom have contributed..and thus for the community to support these gents.. as this is what RWG is all about I nominated MOP.. although I don't believe he has ever bought a rep or posted an original review.. he does participate vicariously through the community. We haven't anointed anyone better than the rest with this award..what we did bring out is the fact that we all are responsible for what goes on here.. weather you post reviews, or just say "thank you for your time" it is all "action" based. Participation and support are the key factors... if you get info from the time spent by members posting.. a simple "thank you" is worth a thousand words.. it's fine to lurk.. but to be a part of this community.. don't be shy.. with Noob questions as well as posting an acknowledgment .. As Ubi exemplifies "unconditional" giving to the community.. by his actions .. and actions being the key to RWG.. discussion is one thing .. to take action is another.. So, as I know these awards will not get to anyone's head nor ego .. we are moving forward into 2010.. with Humility and Support for one another .. especially for the Noobs.. they are our future.. And that is why this thread is here.. for that is all that needs posting in the end. AC/Lani
  17. Winner, winner , chicken dinner...
  18. Like coolfire said, "your are getting there".. the insert is the only visual flaw on the DSSD Ultimate, without putting your nose right up to the watch. I like my 3135 clone (it is a surprise to me) the rotor doesn't spin incessantly, the gearing feels great and it keeps very good time.. we'll have to see in the long term fun how it performs.. either way it is now back on my fave list... AC/L
  19. Your right on all counts Dems, however, the way I came by this insert is a result of events, and not any preordained actions by any collector...actually if not for ETZ lack of action ,.. this would not have come to pass... but I will explain all that as soon as the insert arrives, if in fact it does meet with approval,.. no sense telling a story without a happy ending..
  20. The chrono Hand is smooth.. the minute counter does not move until the chrono hand has one full revolution.. as my genuine Doxa ..if you plan on wearing it regularly.. a eta7750 would probably be best to drop in ..

  25. Thank you kryster.. the Noob factory did an outstanding job on the dial.. the lume will be charged by tomorrow.. so pics on those will follow.. it has been very interesting to learn that the process that is used today with Carbon Nitride was a pure science break through in the mid 90's.. and was pretty much just a theory when it was first reported this review came from Cal Berkley circa 1994 We present strong experimental evidence suggesting that we have synthesized the β-C3N4 phase. This is a material predicted by theory to have bulk moduli comparable to diamond. Thin films containing small crystals were deposited on Si and Ge wafers by rf diode sputtering of a pure graphite target with pure N2. The crystal structure of these phases was investigated using x-ray and electron-beam diffractometry as well as transmission electron microscopy. Our results indicate that the β-C3N4 particles with typical dimensions of ∼0.5 μm are embedded in a 1-μm-thick layer of a C-N polymer. These particles are believed to crystallize preferentially on Si (100) wafers. And this subsequent article In subsequent years, several groups claimed to have synthesized this form of carbon nitride, known as [beta]-[C.sub.3][N.sub.4]. Unfortunately, they had spoken too soon. Today, there's "general agreement that no one has really made it yet," says Robert C. DeVries, an independent consultant from Burnt Hills, N.Y., who retired from General Electric Research Laboratories. "I don't think we had a clue at the time that it would be so difficult," says Yip-Wah Chung of Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., one of the materials scientists who attempted the synthesis. "Trying to beat diamond--it was like being able to travel faster than the speed of light. There was this mystique that it would be great to overcome that physical barrier. "Now," he continues, "people are more realistic, but we are also seeing all these spin-off ideas and applications that we didn't think about before." And today we have these on not only our genuine.. but reps as well And some of the scientist that broke the ion~polymer barriers from Cal. Berkley Labs Amy Y Liu I.C. Wu Kin Man Wu All from China.. I found humor in this fact.. and remembering a genuine Brand stating that the best coatings came from China.. What was equated to "traveling at the speed of light".. we are wearing today..
