One issue I might mention.. the bracelet is a little sharp around the edges.. needs some attention there.. but the weight to the MMD rep. is substantial.. good balance on the wrist.. for the price I'm very pleased the gearing feels smooth through the crown.. Asian clone.. so we'll see how it keeps time over the next month .. non stop PR.. if it keeps in sync with the Asian clones on my other reps of recent purchase it should be fine.. fingers crossed.. edit add: the lume is quite interesting.. got to view the gen before I comment.. After waiting the better part of the year for the release of the MMD .. my attention span fizzled out and I had other projects on my plate.. and I wasn't overly impressed by the pics.. but after finishing the projects I had going on at the time.. the MMD started appealing to me again.. And now I am totally happy I made the purchase.. one important issue that needs attention .. the AR is very good.. but the UN gen AR is the closest I've seen to Chiefs.. if you think I turn it around and compare a genuine AR to Chiefs AR coat.. you haven't seen chiefs in person.. And looking at the crystal and mag .. I believe it is totally doable .. pop off the mag.. send the crystal to Chief.. replace the mag.. since the mag is on the underside of the crystal chiefs AR should be fine for the mag also.. One thing that is so cool with the rep .. the dial will react to light and from white in natural shade to silver in brighter lighting.. how cool is that?? I like the working Power Reserve.. it's nice to have a "working" PR.. The font is sharp and crisp.. I prefer the rep. in white/silver.. the black is a nice contrast .. but the white appears more crisp and brings out the font and the anchor in much better detail.. where as the black dulls the detail ..imo.. here are some fast pics in different lighting, so view the dial as it changes in the light.. Agree 100.... members need to view both sides of the proverbial coin.. and for those that toil to make this forum self sufficient .. this thread for the Noob serves a purpose.. Years ago I took charge of a large group of .... let's say organized lobbyist.. because the director was using donated funds for his personal expenses outside of the organization .. had it not been for that fact .. I would of minded my business and kept on doing what I was doing just to contribute to the cause.. This is NOT the case here.. that is why I am so passionate about this community... the fact that we were and are making good progress to be totally self sufficient and not have to solicited funds from the same group of peeps says a lot. We don't need to take 10 steps backwards with members that whine about the issues that need to be addressed. has it ever occurred to these members that they may be actually harming the community by giving Noobs the impression that something is amiss ??.. and they shouldn't have to donate a penny for what we have here?? Sorry doc.. this is not personally aimed at you.. but I need to voice this concern as it has taken too much blood sweat and tears for it to go by the way side and ignore.. I figure it best to start another thread to the "Free or Not", .. going on and added to by some that question RWG's validity in have to seek donations to keep the forum solvent. A member who states he is more into gens. now and only visits here twice a year seems to have a problem with the cost of keeping this forum online.. To these members I say.. "Why not start your own Forum?" if your so bent on it being totally free.. why not do the deal and get something else started where no one has to donate a penny?? Why whine about it here, when so many others are busting to keep us here so ALL can benefit ?? There are those who have given back with countless hours of reviews, tutorial,.. advise to Noobs so they won't make the same mistakes which cost money that the vets have already been through..and they have been doing this since day one.. and the forum has grown .. many have made buys that they wouldn't have if the forum were not here.. It is usually the same members who pony up for raffles.. donate without announcing it,.. to all of you I say "thank you".. for being here.. to those who feel that it's somebody else' problem.. I say "thank you for being here".. the reality is we NEED funds.. to keep this board going...without it we could just email each other..or go genuine .. we all know how much fun and knowledge "shared" are on foras like those... Me thinks you should start your own board Doc..just think of all the money you saved trough the years with the knowledge and contacts and not having to donate to support any board.. must be in the thousands save.. enough to start your own replica board for free.. no need to ask for donations.. and when members question everything you do after years of giving your time and money .. and insinuate "finances"..... cause there will always be "one" ... Seems like you didn't have a problem when things were absolutely free all these years huh ?? .. did you bother to look at those that were shelling out cash when the board was in need, or did you turn the other cheek and think "not my problem" .....did you ever buy just one raffle ticket?? maybe it's your post didn't receive the reply's ??... did you feel unappreciated ?? .. Sorry Doc, but I am getting very tired of your going on about finances.. what I do here like many others is unconditional.. go look at the donation tracker... sure some may think I give enough to not have to donate for Platinum membership.. like I say,.. talk is cheap.. and I would not ask members to donate to the community without me doing the very same, outside of raffles. The MBK 1016 was a special order that I made with Chris.. unless you know someone living in Thailand or going to visit there.. where you could get the MBK for a very good price.. I heard the guy is like the "Soup Nazi" though I wouldn't bother with the genuine reference numbers.. the gen explorers of this era go on auction at such Houses as Sooth-beys (sic) and Christi's (sic).. your not going to find MBK on the net other than ordering it from Chris or a contact in Thailand. you gotta email Eurotimez.. if you want to add more gen. parts like the crystal and a better dial.. gotta go MBK... there are others I think but they are considerably more than MBK. with chris out of the loop in traveling to Bangkok himself .. I dunno what the status is with Eurotimez MBK orders anymore.. it used to be a dealer would take our orders go to the MBK shop on the weekend and that is how we ordered them.. I have no idea what is the procedure for MBK's vintage Rolex now.. I got mine a long time ago and have been holding on to it for the upgrades.. try emailing eurotimez..see what they say.. good luck.. keep us ported on your progress.. AC/Lani

Well to be impartial.. I just downloaded Chrome.. and am using it now.. went over to RG .. Chrome is working fine.. it actually is a little faster than firefox.. I'll keep both.. I'll try Chrome for a week .. I have a mobile broadband for my notebook.. and Chrome has increased the speed.. maybe "bachi" doc.. AC/Lani

MBK is through eurotimez.. check our Watch International.. they are new here and have a growing trust in securing the proper watch at an affordable price .. they will send you a pic of the watch they are sending for your approval, ask for her to look and see what she can come up with.. you can use my pic to send her for reference.. it may not be an MBK (they are priced over 350 usd) Watch International...or Perfect/Trusty are your options..if your not particular about modding your 1016 after purchase. If you are plannning on modding your 1016 with gen parts or at least an after market crystal you need the MBK 1016 to start. here is mine: A T22 acrylic crystal will not fit in anything but an MBK.. I have my 1016 up North being worked on by the Masta right now.. to swap a gilt 1016 dial and hands.. and a Tropic22 (Clark) xtal swap.. The MBK is pricey but will accept the gen or clark Tropic22 where as I have the understanding that other reps won't.. even with reps .. you get what you pay for.. hope that helps your search AC/Lani edit add: this is the dial that will be going on my 1016.. the research shows that this era dial was gloss.
