  1. We have a saying here as far as...."drunk no count" .. I can't say the OP was chivalrous in this post.. since most of it, I will take issue with, as far as those that are not supporters feeling un welcomed.. true I do gift parts to supporters.. maybe that has to change.. you want it .. you buy it, or see your dealer.. which is worse??, giving back to supporters.. or not giving at all..not donating watches to raffles.. going full on with .. "I make a profit" or break even mode...I try to think unconditionally... but cannot help to support those who support this community..... dunno.. whateva.. we still support all who are here.. supporter or not.. and we and I have I believe. let your conscience guide you.. do what you feel is right..only when your in my shoes or I in yours.. will you "experience", what it takes to keep this place here.. I'm not saying I'm solely responsible.. on the contrary the whole community is .. that is my point. but please, Don't use my name in the same context of GM.. that is offensive And lastly no one is keeping score as far as supporter to numbers of other sigs.. the bottom line is to pay the rent without having to "ask" for donations at a time when our usage is due and we have no funds.. supporter status used to be a lot more .. the donation was dropped drastically... so if anyone thinks that it's asking a lot.. it does help a little but raffles still need to be run.. there have been members that have donated 500 usd in one pop.. to help out.. so you all don't think I just talk the talk.. I will now donate 100 usd to the forum.. and anyone that would like to join me you are more than welcomed..I could do a lot with 100... but I'll give from the heart .. the bestest gifts of all.. As I have said in the past.. the forum has saved me more money than I could imagine in info and and tutorials.. reviews..but most importantly it has given me friends that have supported more than just watches..and for this I am truly grateful. so donate if you can.. if not we will be here for you always.. Aloha and Malama Pono Lani

  3. All dealers here have gone through a process and the newer dealers.. are given apprentice status.. this does not mean that they are not as good.. an apprentice such as Watch International.. goes above and beyone customer service.. in sending you an actual pic of the watch that will be sent out.. if there are any issues with the rep it will not be the one in the pic and yu will receive one that is in pristine condition.. there are other dealers that have been on this forum since day one..This forum is to protect you against scam sites.. which are growing daily.. All are "trusted".. but remember you are dealing with reps.. and there are some common issues.. but it would be wise to find a dealer that will assure you good after purchase service as far as defects.. a number of issues can arise when the watch is shipped out.. DOA.. is not totally uncommon.. there are members who offer services from watch repair to AR service.. Stick with RWG's two horologist.. Ziggy and Vac. if you have a local watch smith that is "Rep friendly" that would be to your advantage also.. you can learn how to do easy fixes with all the info here and tools for sale here.. believe me I did not know how to remove a movement to swap a crystal or remove and re asemble hands before I cam to RWG. don't let expectations override the cost of the rep.. there are some inexpensive reps that last a long time.. there are those that don't.. it's a numbers game at times... the quality and function of the movement ..ETA vs. Asian clone.. allthese factors play into the functioning of your piece.. accuracy should be researched. if you are looking for perfect 1:1 ... no cigar.. every rep has some minor flaws.... there are super reps that are so close to the gen.. it's scary.. If you want to pass off your rep as a genuine.. you will have issues.. so take it for what it is.. a hobby.. a fun and rewarding one if approached with this mindset. your not going to fool anyone with a 50k rep on a 40k salary.. .. but it's fun.. and you will meet many great peeps here.. who are very supportive of this hobby and you as a person.. So.. have fun .. holla if you need an assist.. and post pics of your rep when it's on your wrist.. AC/Lani

  8. Good stuff Hike.. keep um coming
  9. Dunno .. that's not my forte.. we do have strong security measures in place how many times times do you see RWG go down ??
  10. the choice is yours Denz... the colours look so different on the web sites.. it's nice to get a look at them all together.. one small shade.. or too much orange can make a huge difference on the watch.. Good luck.. look forward to your first pics of your first buy.. mobile camera is fine if you don't have a camera..
  11. So you first time buyers can have a reference for colour.. take a look at the different shades of Honey Tans.. cognac.. browns..ammo strap....Shark... King cobra.... if you have a strap to share..post um.. give our new members a reference point to choose.. Most of these are Mario Paci.. a Strap culture.. a few Toscana'...Heroic Crazy horse.. asst. others. So many colours to choose from ..hope this helps with at least one for now.. One of my faves.. cognac.. MP Heroic Crazy Horse Close up of the hide A better shot of the Cognac .. colour One shade of a Pav .... a little more orange in this Honey Tan I hope that helps come time for a strap.. AC/Lani
  12. Welcome anti... good to see you made your way to the intro sec. Lots of great members from Canada.. be sure to read Toadtorrents Nooob guide.. he is from your Country.. great member too !!! you've found the most supportive fora on the net.. this is the weekend and the Holiday season.. so things will be a little slow until Monday.. but you can bet there will be more members chiming in to greet you.. if you need anymore info just holla AC/Lani

  15. Dems .. I or "we" may be knocked for pushing members to upgrade.. but this is just another example of a member taking from the community and leaving his shit on the floor! I will continue to say... if you are benefiting.. even from one rep. .. it would be the right thing to do to donate and upgrade.. As of now we need to raise funds for our winter usage fees.. this form has a lotta love.. but ove dun pay the bills.. and if the debate continues about those not feeling welcomed..my answered pm's and everyone else' will attest to the fact that we all go above and beyond to assist noobs weather they are supporters or not... if one does not feel "welcome" there must be good reason... nobody gets shunned for being a good guy. As far as avatars.. shit,.. if your at work.. work.. if you are at home take care of the kids first!.. family first.. that you have a family has nothing to do with this forum.. Children are a blessing and a privilege to cherish.. enough whining and nit picking about avatars.. if members want to put their GF.. mistress.. man-man...girl-girl.. whateva.. I'll come right out and say it.. as a rank and file member.. there are those on other foras that constantly attack members here.. we protect our own.. we protect "Our House". if 8 cents a day is asking .. (and I will continue) too much then a rep or any watch would be beyond your means.. nuff said L
  16. One of the best to come outta the Breitling reps. email Josh perfect88clones@gmail.com
  17. George.. (GM) .. I told you the first go around I would refund you money "persoanlly".. there was no nee for this.. you "know" you were going to get your money back.. to expose us all is just not right.. I'll forward your money.. just rescind your dispute and I will PP you the funds as soon as you do...
  18. If vlydog chimes in, he gave me a great source for tropics style divers straps.. at incredible prices.. cheap and the quality is great for my FF21 Blancpain..the same quality as my gen tropic strap. if ya see this Vly .. please leave the source. AC/Lani
  19. I'll add it.. thanks Bws
  20. For our Noobs and for those that want to upgrade their reps with bezel inserts.. acrylic pearls, crystals etc. Here is a very short list of Vendors, some,... on the bay that we often frequent. If you'd like to add on a source that you think could be of benefit, and can aid our members in their quest for a more accurate replica.. post them in this thread please and we can compile a listing that can be easily referenced. here's just a few vendors for those needed parts.. Nostalgia-2000 has recently come out with 5513 inserts, and with the best price.. they also have a new item.. vintage acrylic pearls... they are in sync with all the other vendors that sell these.. the pearl on the 5513 insert is incorrect.. ergo you have to purchase the acrylic pearl separately... Clarks tropics crystals are the closest to the genuine ..imo.. and widely used for our vintage mods also.... gilt hands etc. Here>Nostalgia-2000 Nostalgia competitor on the bay is ..Wholesale 990 .... his items are a little more expensive.. not necessarily better.. but another source for after market parts... the Clarks 11680 crystal is better imo. Here>Wholesale 990 Ofrei your source for ETA movements..genuine Omega parts.. inserts.. pearls.. watch oil.. gaskets.. silicone lub. .. polishing rouge.. Here>Ofrei Cousins UK .. Ofrei' counterpart in UK... eta 7750 date wheels.. etc. Here> Cousins UK Yuki's Watches for a better grade of inserts,, Case's will accept genuine .. dials, hands, riveted bracelets.. fyi.. their stock is not always up to par.. many times they carry only 1 or 2 of any part.. patience is key. Here>Yukis Watches Jewlryandwatch.com.... ND dials and cases.. hands.. pricey.. be prepared to laugh if you call Phong.. he is a character.. there are other ND vendors also.. Here>Jewelryandwatch.com Panatime.. Bob's straps... Panatime for anything Panerai.. screws, buckles.. straps.. tell him you are from RWG.. get a discount.. Bob's straps.. Pams, Breitlings... again tell him you are RWG and get a discount.. Both are RWG vendors.. Maratac.. imo .. the best quality for G-10 Nato straps.. also Zulu straps.. I have not run across better prices on the net for the G-10 Maratac than this vendor. Here>Broadarrow let's not forget our very own Offshore.. his store for tools and parts.. for those of you who just joined .. the basic tools are invaluable for our hobby.. and soooooo affordable.. we are not professionals..and these tools.. even a spring bar tool is much needed Here>Watch Bitz there are many more resources .. these are some of the most sought parts.. if you have a good source..for what the community needs that is not listed.. post um.. AC/Lani Member add ons: Here>Fasci SS watchgear
  21. .. Promised I wouldn't say.. but now.. the originator can say..
  22. Regarding the marker.. in the genuine pics.. the slightest angle of the camera lens will make the object in question "seemed" misaligned.. sometimes you have to trust the person with the actual watch in hand.. his/her observations.. I take pics of dials and have to double check after I view the pics.. the chrono hand always seem to be off center.. but 99.9% of the time it's the angle of the shot that makes objects appear misaligned.. it is really an illusion of the camera lens Regardless congrats Arthur, I may be able to help out with some parts if they come through.. Pm you if they do.. R
  23. 1655 Orange hand, made for the cave explorers or ~ spelunking
  24. Niceeeee. Marty.. great shot!!! I myself like some reflection off the lens at times.. it shows "life" in the pic... to me it makes it more multidimensional .. I use the reflections to accent some areas of the dial for macro's.. Regardless..all it'll take now is more reps. with the camera... you'll end up taking 50 to 60 shots and end up finding a few that you really can work with and like.. experience increases results keep shooting AC L
  25. If anyone is interested in a Honpo 187 that has been Modded by ZM.. there is one in your country that may be for sale soon.. gotta run out.. see you all soon..
