Going with my 253 on carbon fiber Friday afternoon Have a good weekend ALL AC/Lani

Having nice chats with a friend half way around the globe.. as his request for pics of the 253 with the carbon fiber deployment strap with blue stitching... I've had both the 253 and the carbon fiber strap for a couple of years now..I just never got aound to putting it on .. the Toscana carbon fiber strap I had on is thicker and the carbon fiber is first rate.. but this blue stitching which you've seen on other 253's is novel.. this ones for you Plaifender.. good luck with your project Thanks for viewing AC/Lani

Thank you drobbins.. sounds like a name form the "Hobbit" The movement does feel good through the crown and when kick starting the Power reserve .. but weather that means anything in the grand scheme. I dunno.. with the benefit of the doubt.. the makers are claiming the new steel to be 316F .. I think myself, that it has more chromium in the mix than 316F or L .. having said that,.... I really don't care what it's called or what it really is..aslong as mky wrist doesn't start turning green the look is fantastic.. and that has been the Achilles Heel of the old rep.. the "look" of the steel, in comparison with the gen.. the rep was always darker and duller.. so for what it is now.. Not only that.. think of this.. maybe, there would of been something wrong with the watch.. and the karmic forces of the universe kept you from obtaining a problem.. sounds good for thought anyway

The 2836 is an ETA.. you need to google that if you are not informed of the movement.. the Rolex Asian Clone is a replicated movement, my Rolex clones are keeping very good time.. and feel good through the crown..we'll see over time how they work.. for me it's about the movement being problematic or not... the rep Rolex movement will not "fool" someone with knowledge.. my opinion for others buying.. buy the eta..

Don't feel too badly.. I missed a grail vintage watch I have been searching for .. I shook it off as ..not meant to be.. then one week later .. another for 700.00 less than the great deal of a week ago, and I missed it... I tell myself.. both were not "meant to be" .. that something good will come out of it...and move one.. sure I still ponder the thought at times.. then I need to tell myself... All the deaers listed in the Watch Collectors section are approved to be "trusted" .. stick with RWG's dealers ..check in if your in doubt.. there are dealers whom work directly with the makers and then secondary dealers who are not part of the planning of the reps.. marketing is done by ALL.. as having the best rep.. you need to decide on yours after doing a little bit of researching.. every member has fave dealers.. so any one member will tell you dealer xxx is the best .. holla if you need help.. Customs in UK is not as stringent as in other countries... if it's just watch parts.. list it as such on the declaration and declare it as 5 usd.. gift. If it's a watch declare it as 30 usd /gift... .. (description)~watch.. I've sent items.. flat rate express and Priority..Express 4 day's .. Priority~ 2 day's more.. but you have to pay extra for a tracking number with priority flat rate I don't use tracking on priority but I do keep the tracking number in case the parcel is lost.. USPS can track it internally with the number... so always keep that stub. it's a catch 22 with the $$ declaration.. if you claim it for what it's worth then the buyer will be liable for extra duties.. and if you claim the watch for it's real value of say 400 usd (for insurance purposes).. it sends up red flags; as a genuine would cost much more..and the buyer may be liable for the duty on the genuine if Customs deems it so. Your documentation is the key when dealing with parcels that cross borders. AC/Lani
