It's SOP... checking for fraud... they've called me a couple of times and asking, if in fact I made the actual purchase.. I just told them I did, watch parts... they are just checking for fraud..nothing more..it is good to know they are on it.. they have blocked numerous attempts for me .. This raffle will be set ticket prices, again for those that wonder what these raffles do.. every cent that these raffles and the supporter/plati donations bring, go to our usage fees... absolutely nothing is used elsewhere... Our servers are offshore .. and considering the hobby that this forum caters to.. the measures are necessary for the security of our community as well as individuals.. the usage fee is unlike "sponsored" foras..and by sponsored I am referring to the foras that are sponsored by the genuine brands. therefore, we are self supporting through donations..our supporters/platinum members.. all of this is used to support our fees to keep the board going.. without these donations we would be in serious jeopardy, as everyone has utility bills.. so does RWG. To show you all the character of our Admin.. he messaged me to plese not use my own resources for raffles,.. and I am grateful for his gesture.. as T. is not about taking from members .. but we need to be responsible for our own usage.. and I do this for all of us and no one will ever use these donations for personal use... ever.. it is the subtle differences that are huge.. when dealing with detail .. on the surface it may not seem like much.. but the little things are what make or break the rep.. attention to detail is sometimes very minute..

If you have not viewed the Ultimate full DSSD review fo here>Ultimate DSSD review This is a comparison of the V1~V3 and Ultimate.. so those of you who are wondering what the V1 and V3 was all about.. some of us bought the 3 versions.. I'm not bragging this fact.. believe me.. the most glaring issues were fixed on the DSSD Ultimate.. Mainly on the dial.. the sandwich date window.. imo the biggest flaw on the V1 and 3 was the date window, and important to me is that it is a "sandwich" and not just beveled. The improvement in the rehaut engraving is very obvious to the naked eye.. the V1 and V3 used the same rehaut.. the engraving was too deep and evident,.. the Ultimate is very hard to view.. it disappears at angles as the genuine does.. it is ..imo not 1:1.. but very, very close, and when it's this close it becomes a non issue for me... the date window could not be hidden. The biggest upgrade also, is of course the brighter steel with more sheen. but this is just an info post.. cause if you see any of the issues on the V1 and V3 on other reps it would be old factory parts being used which does us no good as far as spending more money on corrected dials ..etc. these parts may pop up down the road in other versions claiming to be better.. these would be the tells that you are looking for in choosing the best DSSD.. the He on the Ultimate could use some some work.. Our stellar member Gioarmani has fixed this issue on other reps.. I'm sure his tutorial can be used to do the same here. This is the first ever DSSD to be released the engraving is not too far off base but the clearance to the engraving from the case was low Of course the date window was way off The camera lens does not convey the deep engraving on the rehaut.. but view the right side of the rehaut, you can get an idea of how deeply the engraving was done. The Ultimate.. The ring Lock engraving a little thinner on the Ultimate, the one mod that I could see, is polishing the finish more around the inner bezel.. a cape cod cloth would loose the "brushed" look... not too hard to do. ..imo..and if the engraving needs repainting .. just a permanent marker would do it. this is if your into "fiddling" with the rep as a hobby, for a more genuine look... one thing that makes this hobby so much fun.. again the date window fix The rehaut was much harder to capture on the Ultimate the V1 and V3 has a very flat crystal.. the slight dome was almost absent on both the Ultimate has a definite dome to the crystal, and a better spacing with the insert I need to mention the choice of inserts for the Ultimate.. the 10 spacing is definitely off... the dealer that was coordinating the making of the Ultimate had the choice of the corrected bezel.. but, the inconsistency in the pearl being off centered is what opted the incorrect 10 spacing to be used..thinking about it I would choose the incorrect 10 over an offset pearl... my dealer could source me the correct insert, but it is hit and miss for the pearl.. I noted to the dealer that if the insert I ordered does not have a centered pearl I would take a refund before shipping.. fingers crossed that the pearl is centered. This is the V3, the same rehaut engraving was used as the V1.. the clearance seems a little better, but still thicker engraving in the ring lock, the same crystal was used, the same dial.. the only difference I think at first glance was the clearance of the ring Lock engraving Finally the glide lock system on the V3 was terrible.. the V1 was better the Ultimate nailed it. So if you see any of the issues in the rehaut on DSSD of the future .. you'll know surplus parts are being used. the Ultimate ..imo is the standard when looking at different versions thanks for viewing. Yuppers when the economy went South so did a lot of projects on the table .. I'm waiting for that one..

We were generally taliking in the past about the mail orders "getting them" across borders.. red flags are raised when the same model appears in shipment.. dealers don't like to ship more than 2 at a time.. members have gotten letters after awhile when they have say over an extended period .. watches of the same model constantly arriving... inevitable, "luck" runs out and parcels will be opened.. it is up to the official.. some seize them some wait.. others pass them through.. it's a numbers game really.. somewhat of a gamble.. but once your flagged you are in their records... all it takes is that one time... and a conscientious agent... or over board retail sales like you had in New York a year or so ago..where they were, "raided". IMO.. it depends upon the region your in.. Hawaii being an International Airport with a lot of strategic military facilities bordering the grounds of the airport, Customs here is very, very strict, genuine watches that are brought in as "gifts" get really scrutinized .. so imagine trying to bring in multiple reps. Geographically..Texas and states around there are much easier to bring in anything from Cigars to watches.. OMO.. the safer way to being them back, would be to mail it to yourself.. and split them up .. making sure the "documentation" is proper.. ie. gift (use another name for sender).. value 30 usd.. and mail it to a mail center and not your home addy. that is what I would do if the need arose.. but living in a State where Customs is strict dictates your course of action.. I have only one parcel and I think it will take twice as long this time of year... I don't bother even checking tracking.. saves a lot of stress and wondering And remember, for us in Conus,.. Post Office units have cut back man power and actual units have closed temporarily until the economy improves.. all the variables, will slow down our parcels.. Retailers are making rush order from all over China... so theirs will be priority.. patience.. the parcels in the system NOW will make it before Christmas.. Patience.. is all we can practice. L

Hey Col. got a 1016 gilt dial with silver hands .. the gilt dial of the era was glossy.. and matched pics I dug up of the gen. Clarks T22 swap... .. I still want a dark Honey Tan strap .. a little thicker and heavier than the one I have on their now. I have one in mind that a collector here has access to.. it cost a pretty penny though.. R

Some parcels sent out express have been taking over a week to be delivered.. due to Weather conditions and the Holiday season... this time of the year is crazy.. some members have reported receiving their parcels 7 days after it left China.. I still haven't gotten a parcel that left last week for Hawaii.. expect it to get slower the closer we get to the 17th... the deadline for Christmas mailing. AC/L
