  1. I only have the gen. , Yuki's, wholesale, and Nostalgia (Clarks) and the Clarks is just as good as the wholesale.. Yuki's for aging the 5513 models but IMO clarks is good especially for the price..they're prices are beter than wholesale outlet..WO is over inflated..imo
  2. I'm not a mod..... but you can keep thinking that..
  3. Guana root
  4. I wouldn't cross swords with Dems Doc.... he can weld a mighty strong stroke if he wants.. although we do have an interesting cross town rivalry beginning hea..
  5. You can build a "franken" but to call it a "genuine" is a stretch.. it's like putting a 356 engine in a replica Porsche shell.. you still have a replica with a 356 Porsche engine.. AC/Lani
  6. Who has the best sub??.. for free..
  7. Dun take me literally Doc .. try raising the money to keep the usage up.. so "All" can come here.. and perhaps your mindset will change too... all in fun.. except for Dems.. he's always the academic and dead serious... gotta have a sense of humor or life is too stale..
  8. If your talking DSSD then Eurotimez has the correct insert.. with the correct "10" spacing fyi.. Nostalgia also has vintage acrylic pearls now.. nothing like the genuine insert with pearl though.
  9. Shoot I gave one of my hard to find 50 states quarters to the gal at the market checkout.. she was looking for that one forever.. Dang.. could of paid for 3 day's usage on the board.. gotta be more thrifty ahhh what the heck.. if I can afford watches.. and don't have a bar tab (anymore).. good to support the freeloaders..
  10. Welcome DG, to the best Watch Forum on the Net bar none.. gen. or rep. the most knowledge of Horology and tutorials you will find.. this is a community that supports more than watches!!!!! take your time and if you need an assist.. jus Holla as for the Deep Sea.. check out this one>DSSD Review.. all you need to complete it would be the correct bezel insert.. Aloha~Cheers Lani
  11. The silver dial Searambler is not as rare a catch as other vintage 300T's , but with it's silver dial another nice vintage for the collection.. and very pleasing to look at.. Thanks to Arthur once again.. I'm sourcing a modern bracelet from Doxa for this one and sourcing end links for a modern Doxa bracelet that found it's way to Hawaii from Conus for my Divestar.. Here are some pics.. thanks for viewing the 300T Pro. has been an elusive beast.. the Icon of the Doxa Vintage .......someday.. at least I have the hunt to look forward to.. AC/Lani
  12. A real tourbi ????? careful your not getting a "functioning" .. which means it's "faux".. like some chrono movements they sell.. it turns only manually through a pusher.. I have a hard time believing a working tourbi for 500.. AC/Lani
  13. Yuki's is the closest to gen ..35usd.. Nostalgia on the bay is just as good as wholesale outlet for 12usd.. I got a couple in and the quality is the same as WO. AC/Lani
  14. puuuuuuuhhhhhlllleeeeese ya can come up with something better than that can't ya?? free loading is more apropo's euphemism
  15. Congrats BN perhaps the crystal just needs resetting to align the cyclops ?? I would wear it and let the movement run for awhile before sending it out for service.. imo.. may as well get the most wear from it .. it may run fine for a long time before it needs servicing... imo.. it's like changing tires before they need to be.. I have 3 reps now with the clone movements and all are keeping time with my genuine and my serviced eta's.. AC/Lani
  16. Can't get he 202A off my wrist or outta my sight AC/Lani Great profile shot Cats!!!!
  17. Turbo Charged
  18. yes, you cannot change the colour of the steel by the finish.. you can bring out more sheen in the 316F by using a more satin brush finish.. but if the colour isn't there .. it will shine like the V3 in the comparison. Ive taken a cape code cloth to the 316F.. and polished it aggressively.. it really has not made that much of a difference.. to my eyes anyway.. leading me to believe even more that the colour and brightness, ergo sheen is in the steel and not in the finish AC/Lani
  19. it depends on what your goal is.... if your goal is for the movement to keep good time .. it has for me, for over a week now.. no adjustment has been necessary.. it keeps time with all my genuine.. and my eta's that have been serviced up North.. If your goal is to have a perfect movement .. I dunno if the genuine movement would fit, or if you could source one for that matter. If you are referring to an eta movement .. I'm sure a dealer could accommodate your request.. I don't know if the other models are using the 316f steel which makes this one the best out .. IMHO.... if you want to buy it and source an eta movement to swap.. I'm sure you can do that.. This is the crux of our hobby.. AC/Lani
  20. Sheesh the tariffs in some EU Countries are incredibly high, ridiculous is more the word I'm looking for.. there is really no way around that.. members post for advise on how to gain an advantage over the duties... but anything short of lying will not help.. and lying about the value of the item will be a no win situation for the seller.. nothing can be done except be totally honest with the value.. it's sort of waiting for the first punch to land knowing you cannot do anything to prevent it.. All my genuine watches coming from overseas have been opened and inspected by the in house brokerage of Fedex and UPS..they are more courteous, and careful in repacking than USPS has been with reps.. but that gives you some idea of how they view the declaration of the content. and an fyi.. I don't attach 'tracking' to my priority that I ship out(it's added cost).. but do get the same type of tracking number off the documentation, and save that.. so if in the event that it is lost in the system .. USPS can use that to track the parcel.. it just won't appear on a tracking site for the sender and receiver.. and it will show "proof" of the item and the actual mailing of the parcel.. so if I were to say.. "I don't know I mailed it out".. I can actually "prove" that I did and not the opposite.. good to back up your word with proof.. always..
  21. Why not email ET.. and if you can take clearer pics and send them your scan .. I'm sure they can resolve the issue you have Pete.. I've found working directly with the dealer to be something that can be more of a win-win.. I'm sure Chris will make it right..
  22. One thing to add Arthur.. since most of your collection is vintage genuine .. in which case Fedex and UPS is the way to ship for the insurance liability.. but these carriers have their own Customs brokerage "in House" and really scrutinize the letter of the customs law to the T, so you may actually run into more problems with these carriers than you would with USPS.. just a thought AC/Lani
  23. Still not yet??? I have a sample coming in .. I will psot it up if it pans out then you'll have your case armin.. but you still need a case back better CG crystal .. fingers and toes crossed.. I'd like to see you get yours done too..
  24. Hard to make out the details Pete.. just an fyi.. I think your post was "moved" to the proper section ..not because of the content .. but the topic belongs in the dealers review section.. and you as the OP started a "review" on a dealer as a topic..if the OP starts a topic and posts are out of context .. then only "part" of the thread may be moved or deleted. It is nothing personal nor "hiding" any thread.. this section is for one type of discussion the reviews for another.. We all learn the board and all of us at one time or another have had threads moved to the proper section.. apropos to the forum structure. AC/Lani As a side.. if you are unhappy .. try everything to work it out with the dealer.. it helps in the long run..for you.
