For our newcomers.. first welcome.. most of you have felt the vibes and have already ordered your first timepiece.. Congrats.. but,.. those first few can be excruciating, and the stress wondering what will happen to your precious cargo .. How long ?.. what if ?? where's my watch ???? All common issues that after a while will seem SOP.. but to relieve your anxiety here is how it goes: Follow the copied tracking below from a USPS site of one of mine. the tracking time line starts from the bottom up so, after you order your watch of choice you will get a tracking number.. EExxxxxxxxxCN .. CN stands for China.. and the EE or EA.. is just for record keeping when the batches of Express forms were printed. I can go to the PO and get a hand full of express forms, give you a number.. but it will not start tracking on any site until I actually take it to the post and it is processed.. so you may get a tracking number today.... but SOP for our reps is 3 day's before it is actually processed through China Customs and leaves the country then you will see this on the tracking.. again reading from the bottom up. The paper work is accepted and processed and put on the plane Origin Post is Preparing Shipment Foreign International Dispatch, October 24, 2009, 1:28 pm, GUANGZHOU EMS, CHINA PEOPLES REP Foreign Acceptance, October 23, 2009, 8:44 pm Please note that you don't have to use China EMS tracking site.. once it's scanned for travel to the USA you can go directly to USPS.. I don't know about Countries outside the USA.. as pertaining to their Mail tracking systems. Ok.. so after your package leaves China the next step will be for it to arrive in the US or whatever country you are located. when it lands, you will view this on the screen .. again read from bottom to top.. your watch landed and will be directed to "Customs".. don't stress .. all packages from foreign borders have to be checked through customs "inbound".. Inbound Into Customs Inbound International Arrival, October 26, 2009, 2:22 am, ISC LOS ANGELES CA (USPS) Next, this could take up to 24 hours.. expect things to be a little slower during the Holiday's as there are hundreds of more parcels to be screened.. this is where "documentation" is big time in the USA.. as long as the paper work is in order there will be no problem.. an occasional rookie agent may take a little longer to process it.. by law.. Customs in the US can hold the parcel up to 90 day's (if I remember correctly) and if in the event that it is seized and sent back to the sender.. you will receive a letter from Customs to reply with the "correct" documentation.. "I do not reply".. I am not telling you what to do.. just that I do nothing... "if that would ever happen".. usually due to improper documentation. but that is very few and far between and sometimes during busy times of the year.. someone may forget to "scan" the bar code.. don't stress the parcel will arrive even though it has not been scanned .. for example you may get a "Out bounds customs" and then nothing.. this usually happens when some bonehead forgets to scan the bar code.. when it arrives at your local PO... but you will receive the parcel all the same. OK.. the part we all hold our breathes for: .. out of Customs .. free Inbound Out of Customs, October 28, 2009, 1:21 pm the next .. it will be on it's way to your local PO unit...And on it's way closer to you through another unit where the carrier will deliver it to you addy.. some friends have the tribal markings done in their country.. beautiful work as well as buddy's that go home to Samoa for special ceremonies and tattooing when they are elected to be Chiefs.. when women get the the distinction of tattoos; for every time they show pain when being tattooed, a marking is made cutting off the design.. my friend has not one marking on her leg that breaks the design.. the painful part comes when they go into the ocean to scrub the healing tat..that in an of itself takes courage.. beautiful Polynesian designs and patterns in the Hawaiian culture tell of your families history.. but it's the first time I've seen such a exact comparison in the "leaf" engraving.. the Hawaiian Heirloom design came when the King and Queen from Hawaii visited the Royals in England.. a Hawaiian heirloom bracelet was made for the Queen here upon her return.. the engraving is very much a part of Hawaiian jewelry design.. I have a ring that resembles your engraving.. interesting.. AC/Lani

it's the case where the parts are made in 1000 units at a time me thinks.. someday the corrected version will appear.. my main concern was with the date window.. now we can concentrate on the insert thanks for the kind words M.. AC/Lani -
This is the old steel but I've polished it to death with cape cod.. it is not as light in colour to the new 316f steel, BK did a good job of the polished area's of the steel .. but as I say I've taken a cape cod aggressively, to increase the sheen.. still not as bright and light as the new 316F in the brushed area.. but cape cod definitely helped it . New DSSD Version ~ Perfect Clones
lanikai replied to lanikai's topic in The Two R's Watch Reviews - Lani & Ubi
thank you Nanuq... to All: RESPECT to others is the key we should focus on .. especially in this Holiday Season,... member to member... dealer to member.. "Lokahi".. unity with harmony.. I'm sure the posts were not done maliciously.. so we move on as a community Joshua asked if he could use the review.. I do not review on "hype' or marketing by the makers.. my reviews will bring out negative as well as positive.. all members reviews are for the "community" are not the reviews that you will find on rep. magazines. I do comment, from my perspective, if a flaw is acceptable to "me" and not you As far as "hooking me up" .. these reviews are done unconditionally and do not reflect RWG's nor my like or dislike with any one dealer... I buy most of my reps from Perfect clones.. the reason why ?? it's not for the reviews.. it is for the service I receive after purchase, parts are a huge factor in my dealer of choice.. and have nothing to do with the reviews.. they are a totally separate entity. I have been holding off on anymore DSSD's, until this one, I have been simply waiting for the correct date window.. and this project took close to a year to get done.. I had mentioned it several times.. some members chose to ignore it..but I cannot and will not deter members from loyalty to their dealers.. nor will Perfect Clones.. as a professional that is the way business should be conducted.. we review... advise.. and let the membership speak with their wallets.. We have been through all the harmful threads of "paid reviews".. so we need not revisit this topic again.. dealers are competing against one another.. but still have time to take tea together.. this is business.. we should not turn it into a "who to buy from war" out of any personality differences.. nor dislikes or prejudices at any dealer. I suggest in the future to respect others reviews .. time spent, and act accordingly when posting pics of other dealers watches on review threads.. it only causes internal conflict on the board,.. which as a community we do not need nor want and finally .. Some dealers do show their appreciation to the community and that is why I,.. and other members do these reviews.. it's about the community and not any one person.. '' as a tech "opinion" on the size on the gen. and then the rep. ... it is for ..imo functional "balance", I covered this in a past review.. the V1.... look at the clasp and notice how long it is across your wrist.. imo.. this and the width of the bracelet is for balancing the large case set.(height especially)... the clasp is the base so the bracelet need not be too wide I believe without these measurements the piece may not balance as well on the wrist .. it is great on a Zulu Strap though. hope that answers the Q AC... I've requested that the above posts of the Eurotimez pics be removed.. I am trying to respect each dealers rights.. and feel that if members want to do this they should consider doing it on a separate thread, and not on a review of the DSSD from one dealer.. I would hold the same respect for Eurotimez's DSSD review.. AC/Lani -
I'm looking forward to FGD's new round of dials.. this will be cool the 202A has become part of my daily wear.. would not all have happened were it not for the dial. AC/Lani

depending on the lighting..it should be dark grey (in shade) and in straight on light a lighter shade of medium grey.

I knooooow..

It's being modded as I type this.. I found a 1016 gilt dial with hands, according to the research I did it is correct, the hands were silver with the genuine.. the tropic 22 should fit.. if my measurements were any good.. the dial is lumed to vintage and the hands will be lumed to match the patina on the dial.... I'd like to get the honey tan gator.. but a little darker than normal long grain hide .. It should be done in a week or so.. AC/Lani
