  1. Heavy modded GMT with a strap culture gator band
  2. Consider it booked, I will see if I can pick up a couple of nice Cohibas at the airport unless you know a good cigar bar of course
  3. Nice wrist warmer Frank, hope to see it on the meet up
  4. Nice to see Brussels doesnt come on thelist, book up people and get to the Euro GTG
  5. Well, it would be nice to see Frank and co again, so I'm cretainly in, seeing as I might even be able to wangle it as a business trip
  6. Sounds good, its easy enough for me if I can book ahead and get a good deal on the Eurostar. Besides, I need a break after the holidays
  7. If we can squeek this in before the end of Feb then all the better, I can plan the time off from the work and wife thing
  8. Anyone got any thoughts on when this will take place, obviously the costs will vary depending on when as much as where
  9. Spent my first month living up that way before I got a place in schumann , I have seen far worse places and really it was useful for work (Proximus) so I didnt need to worry, spent more time in the Sheraton bar (a registered Bombay Sapphire Bar) or downtown
  10. Stephane, you just covered all the best reasons
  11. Psy@ Just dont wanna freeze my [censored] off going outside for a smoke Plus, its a shedload cheaper in Brussels for booze and hotels, unless its a traveldodge
  12. There are quite a few cheaper hotels out near the gard du nord (is that right????), (Brussels) It is also a doddle by underground/taxi/or bus to get to the town center. You can walk it in about ten- fifteen minutes. If enough people are interested I'm sure we could try and get a block booking in a local pension/cheapo hotel plus there is a great little pub there between the hotel and the train station
  13. Frank, looks like the ideal solution. I can even stop of for marmelade at Harrods Plus, I can do it without the missus since she might be a bit ticked off if I get a break without her
  14. Belgium Would be possible by me since I can Eurostar over from St P now. PLus it could do with some waffles, Kwak and catch up with the local seafood places. PLus, I can alway grab a few to the Rum bar and catch up with some local buddies. Im in for that, also should be able to tempt Yellowmen down (how about it Frank?)
  15. Hi All Im with JF on this one, with the filter/drip coffee the important factors are the temperature of the water, the method of keeping it warm and above all of course the quailty of the coffee (though these are personal taste, myself I like a gentle mid roast kenya peaberry or a solid triple A roast columbian) The only advantage to the increase in price should be the quality of the kit. Example - Sexy but expensive Cheap but nice at half the price
  16. @POTR I suspect many of my countrymen would be able to say the same. Even the odd monastic connection as well. When war was functional instead of a hobby or an economy booster @Pug Some people just dont like a laugh
  17. I go for childs watch gift and state the value at around $50. stick a card in with it as well. It varies, everyone has their own way.
  18. Weeeellllll, if we are talking pedantic go back about 60,000 years and we are all away from the home country. Wanna know why? Try here The Genographic Project So, no more talk about foreigners, unless you are living 50Km northwest of City of Johannesburg there is nothing more to say. Thank goodness the world still has the French at least it gives everyone someone to dislike (joke, people, really it's a joke. though you can always try this type "french military victories" (with the quotes) in the Google search field and click on "I'm Feeling Lucky)
  19. I get the best of both, I work in the South and come home to the North. I suspect that since these are British stats so I am wondering about the breakdown of the other nations here (Scotland, N.I. and the place that think that a sheep tied to a stake is an adventure playground)
  20. Beautiful, always a favorite of mine. The only general irritation is the amount of purple in the blue but thats the case for nearly all the reps of this fine timepiece. Wear it well and in good health
  21. Im with you, really want this in the blue dial. Keep seeing it every time I fly out of the local airport. Blue and Gold look soooooo good together
  22. A beautiful watch, the strap sets it off to perfection. Wear it in good health.
