  2. Yes a T 19 is also possible but look at this red sub with superdome, I love it.. I bought the 702 crown new from justasgood and I had a few 702 tubes so it was easy
  3. After searching and lurking a long time on this forum! I'm ready to build my own super franken. I wanted a 1680 Red submariner, The project started with a nice yuki case set from another rwg member, I put the case in a box full of coins and shaked the hell with it. After that I needed a dial. de case has a red sub serial so my next task was to find a genuine not so expensive red dial. I found that dial but I have to do some work on it, repainting the indices takes alot of work, i'm like halfway So next I bought a gen 702 crown and tube, the tube wont fit the yuki case so I have to retap it, again thx to this forum for the right answers. Things I have to do is, finding a decent 1570 movement and a T39 Superdome, No cyclops for me on this baby
  4. That Tudor is perfect Here is mine, original bought from Stephane,
  5. Are you sure about that? This is what Stilty says on another topic: "Here is a vital part for the 1570 movement for anyone who is planning on building a Franken 1680 or 1665 and using a movement salvaged from a 1601 or 1603 Datejust. If you are using a salvage from a 1500 OP Date, then you will be fine. Why you ask? The date disc seat on the 1570 for DJ is beveled for the pie pan dial, and the diameter is too large to fit in the sport case. You will not be able to fit the movement to the case. The only other fix is to grind down the part in order to fit, or replace with the proper seat. Something to keep in mind if shopping for a 1570 on the bay and you see a seller listing a 1570 from a 1601 and saying it will fit a 1680. It will not fit. I recall The Zigmeister posting this problem a while back while assembling a Franken and he had to grind the seat to the proper diameter in order to fit the case."
  6. I'm working on a 1680 myself, yukicase, gen red sub dial, gen hands etc.. The problem is to find the right donor movement for the yukicase, do I have to buy a ref: 1500 or 1603. There was a difference but what is it? Something with the datewheel? Thanks
  7. I can tell you one thing, that's not a 6538 service dial. It's a redial.
  8. To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a Tudor prototype 7206. They are all fake! But I like it
  9. A little tip for smoothing the ruf edges. take a toothpick and a sandingpaper and turn it around. It works nice.
  10. Are they genuine? I saw them on the bay to. I believe the seller was located in Hong kong? I don't know, jewelryandwatch.com have it also for sale.
