The retaining ring is hold in place by the crystal of the watch, thats all. Now it seems that your retaining ring is to big for the crystal, that's why they used alot of glue. Maybe the crystals are to thin from these reps and then your lucky. Just buy one from Clarks and your problem will be solved. I wanted to buy the same watch and use the bezel (they are very accurate) and retainer for my tudor sub. Can anyone confirm if you buy a clarks crystal that the loose retaining ring problem is solved? Or do you still have to use glue? Thanks. -
Hello, I'm building 2 gen Tudor (7016 and 7021) subs and I have a problem with the stem. I bought 2 regular Tudor watches with the right movement (2483 and 2484) for the subs but the stem is to short. I read that the stem part is nr. 401 and it seems that al those old eta's uses the same type ref nr.401 When I look on ebay for stem ref nr. 401 I see there is alot of difference in calibernumbers between them so I'm very confused now. Is ref. 401 fitting them all or what? The stems from the 2483 and 2484 are the same and fit eachother. Maybe I can use stem extensions but what size I have to use? Is it 9 to 9? Stem from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Part-401-Winding-Stem-ETA-2836-2-2824-2-2801-2-Movement-/400153642637?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d2b04068d Stem on the picture is my stem and looks different then the one on ebay: Thanks for the help

Thanks guys, Didn't know a replica 702 crown and tube excisted. Here is another picture from the crown and tube it came with. It looks like a 702 tube but the barrel is a bit shorter.

That's not so good news, I paid 60 euro for it. Mailed the seller for an explanation. Thanks Ubi.

Hello Guys, I hope you can help me. I bought a Rolex 702 crown and it wil not fit my 702(I have several 702 tubes) tube. The weird thing is, it's a triplock crown and it fits a 700 tube? Did Rolex made a triplock crown for the Twinlock tubes?

I do have a genuine 9315 bracelet so I know how it feels but this one is made from aluminium foil. But ok, it was only 50 dollar.
-
I have a folded bracelet from Mary, it looks good but feels very cheap.
-
All those aftermarket 6538 cases are wrong shaped, they are not worth the large ammount of money.
-
Ok, and where do you read it has a 1575 caliber?
-
It's just a regular Tudor with a sub (rep?) dial and mini sub hands.
-
Insert looks faky to me
-
My bad, I thought you want the superdome.

Fake case and dial

Yes I know the difference, do you think a watchmaker can fix this problem? I wanted to do it myself but one of the screws is very rusty and won't turn.
-
It's a yuki case and everything fits like a glove, genuine bezel, genuine 702 tube and crown. So it have the right dimensions. The problem is and I read a topic about it, a ref 1603 caliber 1570 won't fit a sport rolex, but some people says it does. There is a difference in the date seat, a ref 1603 have a beveled dateseat while a ref 1500, 1680 have a straight. JoJo35, I have a gen Red sub dial Who knows the partnumber from the right dateseat? Thanks, Kiara

Hey guys, I have another problem to build my 1680. I bought a 1570 movement and yes there it is, it won't fit. It's a 1603 movement and I new it, So for once and all a 1601, 1603 "1570" movement won't fit at all. So my question is, what do I have to do? Searching for a new date seat or have this one milled. At first I wanted to do it myself but I cant take it of because one of the screws is rusty. Is it a possible task for a watchmaker to do this? Or should I sell the watch again and buy a ref: 1500 Thanks, Kiara

Thanks guys, Pfew, so many different T-19 crystals.... Yes a 1680 with T19 crystal was the plan until now. I have two crystals so I'm gonna try to sand it down to the insert dimensions.

That's the problem. I do have a tropic 127 and it's a fit but when I use a tropic 19 it's a no go. So my questions are, is the Clarck aftermarket crystal not right or do I have an aftermarket insert. I want to know because I paid alot of money for the insert. Thanks, Kiara

Hello Guys, I have a problem with my 1680 project. I bought a genuine 1680 bezel + insert and ordered a T-19 crystal from clarks. The insert is to small for the crystal! It wil only fit a 127 crystal. To my knowledge 1680,5512,5513 bezels and inserts are interchangeable, right? What do you guys think, the crystal isn't the right one or my insert is aftermarket? Thanks, Kiara
