  1. Does a sorta semi-accurate rep of this watch exist? If not, any way to cobble one together?
  2. this thread...and some pvt messages from the forum have convinced my to soldier on with my 7928 build...including Mr Ephry73. keep up the great work!!!
  3. yeah, the movement i'm familiar with, its the gold plating i'm asking about on this particular model
  4. Yeah, I'm pretty happy with this model so far. I know it's been reviewed to death around here but I really think these GMTIIcs are the best out of the box reps
  5. oh ok, no worries. how do you like it so far? i'm having a small love-affair with mine...haha
  6. that's the one. how does the gold hold up?
  7. Hey, just got the 21j GMT2c from timeshops...the two-tone version. How is the gold holding up for those of you who have one?
  8. Yep, I'm gonna start that project once I get the case back engraved
  9. I'm in love with this thing! put it on a nato which matches the patina...pics to follow
  10. no HE valve, it's a 1680 case. if your read back a bit you'll see i posted all the particulars
  11. i know, so from first impressions I don't think it's really too awful bad. For $100, it's not a 1:1 but I thin it looks the part. I like that they chose the 7928. No date to deal with and so many variations in dials etc that almost any combo is correct. It's a 1680 case with dome crystal in case you're wondering. Fit and finish is nice, feels solid as heck. It came on a standard rep HEL bracelet with diver's extension. The mid-links are solid and that just drove me nuts. Also with the bracelet the case back is exposed and there is no engraving. I'm going to have the engraving done though. I sure hope they sell a ton of these and start repin' Tudors. There has to be a demand. Seems lately one out of ten threads in this section is Tudor related. I know the chronos are dodgy because you need that damned '36 ETA but no reason we can't have the Subs and Oysterdates. More pics to come soon, I'll snap a few tonight
  12. Not sure about the bezel, it's very loose though. Similar to my old DRSD from Josh. I don't wanna go prying on it. For $100ish fits my bill. I'm gonna throw a nicer bracelet on it and have the back engraved.
  13. well, it's not too darn bad. and NO HE valve.... Enjoy, Joe
  14. well the nato is aftermarket too haha
