  1. Hi!

The name "Marina Militare" definitely belongs to Panerai. I have been in contact with a german law office because one of my "Marina Militare" orders from Helenarou got seized by customs... :black_eye: They showed me a copy of the name registration form. I had to agree to the destruction of the watch and sign a form that I would never try to import fake Panerai products again. So I don't... and only trade inside EU. Not sure what would happen if they'd catch me again.

The design (CG etc.) is not protected anymore as you can only do that for a specific time period which is over now. At least that's my understanding.

    Cheers

  2. Hi!

Is anyone out there doing custom see-through casebacks for PAMs? I just bought a highly modded 111h and about the only thing that's nagging me ist the serial on the caseback... why on earth do they all have number "0035/2000"? :bangin: Are there any H-series casebacks with a different serial on the market? Best thing of course would be if someone does custom jobs... I am sure a lot of members are interested.

    Cheers

  3. Well done mate, you must be pleased with your efforts. I cant tell from the other pics I have seen but yours seems to have a recess in the case to recieve the CG if so is this accurate to gen.

Great job compared with your previous pics.

Where will your modding go from here ??:thumbsupsmileyanim:

    Thanks! :)

But I'm afraid, my modding will not go much further... normally I'm all thumbs if it comes to DIY...

  4. You're right, of course.

My "fixation" on the f-series comes from a friend who saw the back of my watch and told me "it says H-series here... it should be F...". :whistling:

    I'm still learning... OK? ;)

I will post some pics of my watch tomorrow (I need daylight!) and let you decide... but as I already said in another thread, I don't want to make the watch perfect, just good enough for myself to be satisfied with it.

    Cheers,

  5. Not sure why people keep saying not to worry about the correctness of the back, unless you've got a gen movement. The reason most people want the correct back, is for themselves, just to get their rep as close as they can to a gen.

Yep, that's it- I wouldn't worry much about the font on the caseback - but the serial number is an obvious flaw that i see every time I put the watch on... so it nags me... :wounded1:
