Veeeeerrryyyy nice!
I must say that I really like it with double AR... I think they should start Double-ARing the gens as well.
-
I'm also in for 2!
-
Well if you want a custom "ultimate" E series serial number, I've got a gen for sale in the parts sections
And you're sure it's ultimate?
-
Man, if you flip that thing over ain't no serial # in the world will make that rep movement look better.
You may have a point there...
But the serial can be changed easily, the movement not...
-
That's stupid... it can't be so difficult to make at least a short selection of serial numbers, can it?
-
hi whatever, can i ask you what you bought?
some pics
Of course - but unfortunately the beauty is still on the way - I'm afraid it will not reach me before Christmas. But I'll post some pics as soon as I've got it!

Hi!
Is anyone out there doing custom see-through casebacks for PAMs? I just bought a highly modded 111h and about the only thing that's nagging me ist the serial on the caseback... why on earth do they all have number "0035/2000"?
Are there any H-series casebacks with a different serial on the market? Best thing of course would be if someone does custom jobs... I am sure a lot of members are interested.
Cheers

Well done mate, you must be pleased with your efforts. I cant tell from the other pics I have seen but yours seems to have a recess in the case to recieve the CG if so is this accurate to gen.
Great job compared with your previous pics.
Where will your modding go from here ??
Thanks!
But I'm afraid, my modding will not go much further... normally I'm all thumbs if it comes to DIY...
-
By the way... encouraged by RWG I tried the hot glue fix on this one today, together with a bit of CG modding. I'm quite satisfied with the result - I think it's definitely better than before. What do you think?
-
Thats nice with the brown dial, where was it from?
No idea... got it from another member just recently...
-
Got one of those, too - but the brown dial version.
Although it is of course far from being close to the gen, especially the movement, I really like it. And I think the brown BOB strap fits it quite well.
Cheers

Hmmm... anyone doing lume jobs in Europe? I did sone searching but wasn't successful yet...
-
lanikai, you have to get rid of that translation program... I really don't know, what you are talking about, the translation doesn't make sense at all...
On the other hand... that's extremely funny if you can speak german!

Thanks for your feedback!
I finally managed to do some better pics this afternoon, by the way. Here we go:
-
Thanks! So I bought a "correct" caseback, that's good news!
I am thinking about re-luming... I think, the lume color is a bit too yellow'ish right now, isn't it?
-
Hi!
Here are my pics (bit late, sorry). They're crappy... I know...
but I hope they'll suffice.

You're right, of course.
My "fixation" on the f-series comes from a friend who saw the back of my watch and told me "it says H-series here... it should be F...".
I'm still learning... OK?
I will post some pics of my watch tomorrow (I need daylight!) and let you decide... but as I already said in another thread, I don't want to make the watch perfect, just good enough for myself to be satisfied with it.
Cheers,

Thanks, unregistered! Great comparison and exactly what I was looking for!
I will post a pic of my PAM111 later - I suppose my CG is somewhere in between...
-
Does anyone have detail pics to compare the CGs?
-
Hi!
What's the difference between an f-series and a g-series PAM111? I believe it's only the crown guard, but I haven't seen a comparison yet. Does anyone have pics?
Cheers

I already asked Angus - he only sells the complete watch.
And I'm afraid the member I bought the caseback from does not have a source - he simply had a spare caseback.
I believe it's exacly the one on the puretime pic above.
-
Thanks to a nice RWG member I finalle found a correct caseback.
At least it's correct enough for me...
-
Not sure why people keep saying not to worry about the correctness of the back, unless you've got a gen movement. The reason most people want the correct back, is for themselves, just to get their rep as close as they can to a gen.
Yep, that's it- I wouldn't worry much about the font on the caseback - but the serial number is an obvious flaw that i see every time I put the watch on... so it nags me...
PAM Homage's
in The Panerai Area
Posted
Hi!
The name "Marina Militare" definitely belongs to Panerai. I have been in contact with a german law office because one of my "Marina Militare" orders from Helenarou got seized by customs...
They showed me a copy of the name registration form. I had to agree to the destruction of the watch and sign a form that I would never try to import fake Panerai products again. So I don't... and only trade inside EU. Not sure what would happen if they'd catch me again.
The design (CG etc.) is not protected anymore as you can only do that for a specific time period which is over now. At least that's my understanding.
Cheers
