  1. Really good work! Can you tell us more? I guess it was brushed SS and you then polished it, right? Congrats for your job again! The strap looks like a TWB one, right?
  2. Thank you Marty, your insert is fabulous and it's the look I intend to get!! WIll definitely try Drano, is it a US product?
  3. Yep, sure it's metal, it's coming from a MBW 1680 and the other one is coming from Puretime vintage Rolex collection... I will post pics soon, but bleach hasn't done anything!!!
  4. Yep, about twice an hour, 15 seconds each time
  5. It's been six hours since the insert is soaking and it is...........CLEAN! But as new as it was! :shutup2: :shutup2: :shutup2: :please: :please: :please: :please:
  6. Anyone knows where to get one at a good price? Rep+++ or gen? They are pretty expensive on eBay, even preowned: http://www.ebay.com/itm/20mm-Omega-Planet-Ocean-Rubber-Strap-w-Deployment-Clasp-/300598592643?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fd128483#ht_500wt_1287
  7. Looks perfect! And polished SS deployants are not usual. Is it gen?
  8. Vincent Clerc did a great match today, any Canadian here wanting to comment?
  9. This dial is from the 70's and is heavily faked. On the dials from the 80's, the logo is tilted, and I haven't seen spare dials for sale for the moment. They were given to managers for setting a certain sales record for a week, like $15.000 or $20.000 in sales in a week (that's a lot of pizzas, lol). It was repped! Gen are about €4.500 now...
  10. Thanks again, alligoat! Are 15200 and 16200 the same case and same sapphyre?
  11. You mean movements parts? Or crown, buckles, bezel, and so on? I would not have thought this kind of cleaner would be OK for tiny movement parts...
  12. Thanks all for your answers The Oysterdate looks great, I really like it, but the cyclop mag is really a no go for me... Maybe I will try to buy one and change the crystal, anyone knows the plexi crystal reference I have to buy?
  13. My MBW insert is soaking in pure bleach (40g of chlorine/liter, is it the same for you?) + salt + oxyclean for ten minutes without ANY effect (except the insert looks shiny and clean, lol ) That's weird!
  14. Who's watching? Canada vs France now!
  15. Thanks bwhitesox, will have a look at it... I will try to use pure bleach on a MBW insert from noon to midnight today, let's see how it works...
  16. Thank you for your help, alligoat! What about Clarks hands (Rolex/Tudor for ETA)? Are the original ones so wrong?
  17. Anyone knows how to edit price or add comments? I'd want to make a price drop but I can't!
  18. Hi mates, Been trying to bleach insert for months now, without results! Am I doing something wrong? I use bleach = sodium hypochlorite. According to some tutorials I've read here and there, I mix it with hot water (50/50%). I drop the insert inside the bowl, slightly shake it and wait for 5 to 10 minutes, then remove the insert and wash it under running water. I have tried this method on MBW, Puretime, WSO990 inserts and they didn't bleach at all!!! I left them in the mix for half an hour without result! Pure bleach doesn't do the job neither! Man, what's going on? Is your bleach more concentrated in the US? Do I miss something in the method? Waiting for your help! Thanks!
  19. Sorry JKay, english is not my native language, as you have obviously understood
  20. Thank you all for your answers! :-) Anyone knows what's the reference for Rolex/Clark crystal for the DJ?
  21. Hi Fabrice and welcome on the forum. Your watch is Ok for wearing now but of course you can had it serviced and water-tested. The most difficult will be to find a rep-friendly watchsmith in France... For the moment, I would advise you to silicon grease the caseback gasket and to enjoy it! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=43.322287,-1.835299
  22. Thank you for your answer! Actually, I'm looking for a rep, and a complete watch.
