  1. Silix sells several vintage Rolex, amongst them some nice Airking or Oysterdate. Any thoughts on these ones about accuracy? Anyone knows if it's possible to replace the plexi for a Clark on this one: http://silix-prime.com/rols048-p-1855.html Airking: http://silix-prime.com/rols034-p-1843.html And DateJust! http://silix-prime.com/rols062-p-1870.html Thank you for your help, experts!
  2. Hi I guess the silver dial Datejust was one of the most famous and sold Rolex ten to fifteen days ago. I bought a nice rep one, maybe 8 yrs ago, it is really great, except for the cyclop whom magnification is wrong... I have searched the trusted dealers catalogs for a new, and maybe better one, with no luck! What's going on? I can't believe this watch is not repped anymore! Do you know where I can find one? Or do you know the ref. of the crystal? Maybe I should just buy one from Clarks and then have it fitted, but maybe the cyclop won't match the date wheel position? Thank you for your help! http://www.chrono24....m=0&tab=details
  3. Got this watch from a member here, and now a friend. Was coming with spare parts: gen crown, gen insert, Clarks hands and BK overlay. I have mounted the gen crown (direct fit on the rep tube), the gen insert. Do you think changing the hands and replacing the date wheel would be a major improvement? I am still waiting for the about to be released new SD...
  4. Open the caseback, insert the stem in the movement and tighten the screw... That's an (very) easy fix. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=43.382125,-1.654891
  5. Was asking to myself the same thing! Weirdos!!! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=43.382125,-1.654891

  7. Hi mates, I decided a few months ago to build (or have built would be more precise...) two vintage Rolex: one is a 1665 GWSD and the other is a white 1680. Both were coming from MBW. 1665: modded by Domi -Clark crystal -drilled lugholes -shaved CGs -gen crown and tube -low beat 2846 -PT insert -PT 93150 bracelet and 580 endlinks 1680: modded by Grand Chief The Zigmeister -Clark crystal -DIal and hands relumed with vintage tritium mix, the original lume was terrible! -Drilled lug holes, chamfered and case polished -CGs reshaped -Gen crown and tube -low beat 2846 -PT insert -PT 93150 bracelet and 580 endlinks As I don't want to go the franken way (except maybe for some cheap stuffs, like inserts,..), how can I improve those watches? I tried several times to bleach the inserts, but never managed: half bleach, half very hot water. I dropped the insert in the mix and let it stay here for half an hour withour any modification! Did someone manage to bleach PT inserts, or MBW ones? Thank you for your help!
  8. Congrats my friend!! I had got this very similar watch but got burglared two years ago and it was robbed. I bought another one, but more recent without lugholes last november and I love it!

  13. Hum... What about all helping the OP to fix his watch? That would be funny! I begin: I will ship the OP a nice champagne date wheel, Rolex font for ETA. Anyone has a spare TT bracelet? Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk

  15. Unfortunately, the rep is rather crappy, and not accurate. And the depthmeter hand has been replaced by a GMT hand
  16. This brown croc is the same as the one on the PAM177 and 176, right? It is a bit thick and not smooth enough according to me...
  17. Oh that's great, I have a Triumph Spitfire 1500 too! Is it yours freddy? :-) Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
  18. It's a great match with DSN case. Who did the coating? It might be interesting to make a group buy for CG and PVDing, as lots of us are looking for these... Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
  19. Awesome 202! Was the LH CG PVDed or did you make it PVDed? Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
  20. You won't be able to make a 1675 or a 16750 out of this watch because cases for these are thinner. But you can do a great pepsi 16710 from it just changing the insert, dial and getting a nice bracelet... Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk

    WOW!

I was not aware of this model, were you? Grey DLC and blue hand are a so great looking combo!
  22. Maybe it would be better to be patient. H factory is currently releasing its auto PAM (104I), so maybe the other formely called Ultimate models will follow... Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
