  1. I received my DSSD today. Here are a few pics. You can draw your own conclusions but more info is available on the dealer review.

My original post has been moved but unlike other moved posts no trace of it has been left on this forum as seen with other moved posts!!!!!, I only just realised when I logged in so I thought I would share my deep joy at my new delivery rather than express any other opinion!!!!

There is a gap on the left = Between the dial and the rehaut - I dont recall this in the gen

  2. I beg the watch gods for this! White face with blue hands is so nice! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Great pics Pete! How do you like the Bentley GMT? The black face version should be on my wrist in T Minus 18 days...

Mate you wont regret it, on the wrist it feels soooooooo good, it really does. I have had all the big lings but this for me is the best ever. I did look at the black face which was my second choice but for me I like the look of the white as it looks bigger whereas black has the white surround but still a lovely big watch.

The thing I like most is the way it feels on your wrist, just so well balanced for such a big watch especially with the 'for Bentley' bracelet. I didnt like the rubber which I got with it as a second strap in box very comfy but somehow cheapens the watch, does look better with black face though.

Be good to see your pics mate and you wont regret it!

  3. I agree I would go with TAG link. Or Hublot Big Bang get her the 38mm and you can choose 41, 45, 48 depending on your wrist. Also there are a lot of variations in finishes to be the same but different if you know what I mean.... Also the good reps but can be pricey. Got good build, accurate, double AR etc

Go look at Andrew or josh etc

    Good luck

  4. The is no functional Bentley GMT rep. available. Only the Navi World and Colt.

Thanks but he only mentioned GMT not functional and as I said before I read it as Bentley GMT, which, as you know, is a model not Generic. So the the functional aspect is also irrelevant to my original answer.

  5. This guy has been continually doing this on another forum asking the same questions but in different ways.

I think he is looking for someone to do his work for him.

Tbone the information is all over this forum, the best deal is for you to find, the decision is yours to make. If you cant afford the one you want then wait till someone sells one in the used watch forum.

If not then save up!! Or ask Santa!

So good luck and when you buy post some pics and in the meantime take part in this forum. As you will only get out what you put in!

  6. I am a newwbie ,would like to search for the new Breitling Gmt . Any chance of finding a trusted site

I only know of one GMT rep at the moment. Watcheden do it.

But do a search using trusted dealers. Or use search on here if it will work!!

  7. I would like to know if this is a reliable watch. Are there any known problems with the movement, such as the seconds problems that some watches have.

Also, there seems to be two versions of the watch, but I do not know what the difference is.

    P250SSB01

    P196SW03

    Thanks.

    Hello mate,

Those numbers seem to be a dealer reference maybe Andrew at Trusty.

Basically these are two different models of Panerai. The PAM 250 and the PAM 196, their movements and reliability will basically be the same. Of course that depends where you buy it from.

But if you use a trusted dealer then you shouldnt have a problem. But the choice is yours which one do you like?

I suggest you look at reviews and Panerai forum for more info maybe also Paneristi.com

    Good luck

  8. Thanks Lani

Middle ages now thats interesting. I assume that it was a general method of measurement at the time and then used on early time pieces as it was a standard form of measurement.

I know some watchmakers still use it in describing their movements and other use the term of calibre which to me is the diameter of a bore.

Your right but its funny how you consider the terminology used today as technical but in its origination it tends to be an everyday word discarded over time leaving it to be used in a particular area or discipline, left to bamboozle the less technical of us.

  9. Of course I dont agree with any one passing off rep as gen and yes I agree on the Karma side of it.

No I just wondered if there was a 'watch squad' (watch- as in looking out for) on here.

To be honest the reason given by P4GTR wasnt something that had crossed my mind and now he says it. its obvious and potentially very damaging to this rep world.

    So thanks for the answers.

I am surprised Ebay didnt remove it though I thought thy were hot on this especially if reported.

  10. Thanks PeteM

Have spent ages watching but thought it was time.

Well... Have done the deed and a put my name down...

Have pre ordered the SD as well a while back...

Not sure if the dates a realistic. But in for a penny!!!

Have purchased before from Trusty and Eurotimez. Hope WMP are a bit better

Well good luck with it mate, remember to post some pics.

    You got through WMP?

Only ask cause there is a guy on RG, I think is it BLK? who tweeks them etc. I think he has his own versions from them as well which he sells. He's probably here as well never looked. But I am sure others here will know the score on that and correct his name for me.

  11. reported :)

I know I must be being thick here but why would you or anyone here take the time to report it?

Is there a forum protocol on reps/fakes being advertised on Ebay?

Is it just the ones being passed off or implied as being genuine?
