  1. I wonder if the high bidder is really pi...sed off that this bargain was removed right before he won it. He should be grateful that there are a few folks out here who care enough to spend their time trying to get the scammers off Ebay, and to protect the idiots who refuse to do their homework, and ignore all the warning signs that start with "if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't" Good work guys

    Arthur

I dont suppose he will ever realise, if he was daft enough to bid he probably thinks the guy himself has stopped the auction!

I would give a few quid to be a fly on the wall at the sellers place, bang goes some of his Xmas plans!!

  3. There is the PAM 203 which was a small release with an Angelus 8-Day movement and is now selling north of $150K of which Lani's is a replica - genuine is a Tobacco brown dial, though.

and the PAM 5218-203/A (Pre-Vendome) which is a Pre-V Marina Dial in a PVD 44MM case.

    Thanks Don,

So does this happen often with the model range? With the PVD model is A still referencing year?

And sorry but lastly what does the four digit number before 203/A signify? Is it just model? or case movement etc.

    Thanks

  4. Aren't they supposed to not have the silver rings around each dot? I kind of like it though.

I understood there were two editions apart from the subeditions of each

The originals were just tritium applied first in matt then in small logo. But the later edition in the 90's I think had the chrome surrounds.

I am sure Tech would know the fuller details and correct me

  5. Well they have been saying that for a while now but even if it did, the big thing for me is I dont like the OR strap or any rubber strap. So I would like to get a Gen Pro1 either PVD'd or DLC'd so it would need to match the rep finish. If its DLC I would need to do watch as well.

Plus I dont know if doing a bracelet is practical for either finish. I was hoping from my post someone might have experience of doing it.

I have PM'd Avitt about the DLC side of it on advice of FxrAndy.

  6. Thanks Lani

I do like that watch but just when I thought I was learning about PAM designations I am back to my original confusion.

This is designated a PAM 203 is it? My understanding was a PAM 203A was a PVD 44mm Prev Luminor Marina but the suffix A only related to year.

Does this form of designation mean something different here and if so is there an idiots guide to this somewhere? Just when I thought I had it!!! If this is the case why would Panerai designate it in this way when normally its just a straight forward number designation

For 138USD its a great rep watch.
