  1. I have removed AR very simply with ammonia, which is why eyeglass vendors always warn against cleaning AR-coated eyeglass lenses with Windex or other ammoniated glass cleaners.

Thanks thats another good tip. Would that be just household Ammonia and is it OK on the watch case. I will get my son to try that as well next time see if its easier for him!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  2. At this time of year I just wanted to wish all our men and women serving in the armed forces a Merry Christmas.

I wish them all a safe time and thank them for the job they do in difficult and sometimes desperate circumstances.

My thoughts and I am sure all of our members thoughts are with them at this time of year. Regardless of our own political views.

I wish them a quick tour without pain or suffering and to come home safely to their loved ones.

I thank them for the professional and unwaivering effort that they give to the jobs that they do.

  3. Oh I am getting the shaft from the wife now wanting to wait to give it to me on our wedding day (Already married, but doing the big church wedding next month) as a wedding gift to wear that day. Kind of fine by me as I had to her pursuing some of the lower end Pams over the weekend! :whistling:

Mate I like your style!! :thumbsupsmileyanim: Puppy Eyes next

    Reverse Pyschology!

  4. May end up selling it as the orig. seller said it was 24mm when it is actually like 23 or 22mm.

Surely thats what he would say if its what the OEM strap says or do PAM straps come in those sizes as well?

Which PAM pattern Alli is it?

  5. Apologies if this has been posted somewhere in the past but I certainly never found it myself so I thought I would post a tip on removing AR very easily and simply.

It has worked for me on DSN's Rep AR and Chiefs AR so I am pretty sure it will work on all AR's

Use Stainless steel Polish and a microfibre cloth. Use small amounts on the cloth and rub small areas at a time.

It takes anything from 20-30 minutes of good rubbing.

It doesnt damage the bezel or case.

Just make sure when your checking your progress you use natural daylight as you get more off its harder to see where you have left to do and the daylight really brings it out clearly, so every so often stand outside and have a look to check.

Remember once you start theres no turning back but it will come off.

I just removed it from a PAM 219 with chiefs AR and I must say the result looks good much more natural looking for my tastes anyway.

Of course its just as good on the inside AR if you take the movement out but again the plus is theres no need to remove the crystal glass.

Merry Xmas to you all and a prosperous New Year :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  6. I have never given a replica watch as a gift but now think about it. When giving this as a gift do you tell the recipient that it is a replica? Do you include the Tag Heuer box/papers?

Personally I would tell them the box papers etc is always extra anyway. But once you tell them you can explain how good a rep it is....assuming it is!

Oh and what the gen would cost.... well its the thought aint it!!
