  1. It's not for me. Hi K btw, nice to see you back.
  2. You can get a WSO bezel assembly on fleabay.
  3. Great story 'Nook and funnily enough, I bet in a few years time I'll have forgotten the name of the guy who came second but I'll remember the name Nicholas Petit and that vet book.
  4. Thanks for suggestion but I've no idea the pitch of the thread. I'm flying blind here - very blind.
  5. Serious question: where am I going to find such a teeny weeny tiny miny hacksaw?
  6. All hail the great 'Nook for he hath spoken with great wisdom and gravity. The Gods are shining on me for I already possess the fine dremelling apparatus but needs must gain purchase of a hacksaw of minute detail barely visible to the keen eye. I shall set upon my quest post haste and mine heart grows light and leaps as an hart with eager anticipation at the fine viands and divers wines to be consumed once victory is mine.
  7. Pins arrived today. They fitted through the hole in the links. They were the same screwthread as the other side of the link and screwed in nicely. Trouble is the 'shaft' of the pin is tool long and sticks out about 1mm even when fully screwed in to the limit. Back to the drawing board. AArgh.
  8. Thanks alligoat, I will see if the screw/pins that I've ordered fit (probably not) then go down the route you suggest. Thanks
  9. Not so sure The Zigmeister would approve of me fixing one of his great creations with sticky tape but I might do this until the proper parts arrive. Will have to buy some of the clear tape fist.
  10. Very helpful and interesting. Will experiment. Thankyou.
  11. Interesting info Dan71. How long did the tape last before you had to replace it?
  12. Ok. Post chardonnay I think it's clear in my tiny mind now. I've ordered a press similar to the one above and I've ordered some single sided razor blades. I was about to order the WSO retaining ring (£70) when I had a thought, what if the retaining ring is already a WSO one? I don't know, I've only just bought the watch. So, I've asked the seller if he knows what retaining ring is on the watch already, no point spending readies on a part that turns out not to solve the problem see?
  13. Not got a press but am prepared to buy one, any recommendations?
  14. OK. I see what you mean. So, my 1665 bezel on a 1680 is a no no. Reckon it's time to gird my loins, get the razor blade and hammer out and prepare to throw £1k down the pan.
  15. OK 'Nook am hearing what you're saying but I didn't get which bits to swap with which? Granted I am half way through a nice oaked Chardonnay, possibly my bad.
  16. Oh and btw, I'm trying here to fix a small problem on an expensive watch and you guys are more interested in 'Nooks underwear. Degenerates. That's you that is.
  17. Sorry 'Nook but I don't understand what you're saying? What I'm trying to do is avoid removing the retaining ring from the 1680, sounds like a bloody nightmare and I have never done it so even more scary. Don't forget when it comes to messing about with a £1k rep I'm a cowardy cowardy custard.
  18. Cheers Vibes, that item is no longer listed but I've ordered some others from fleabay, had to guestimate the size required but fingers crossed.
