  5. dunno what kind of look you are going for but for aged ,i use antique white acrylic paint than go back over with liquid brown shoe polish mixed with water ..then a bit of charcoal over the top

  8. i usually use an emery board and small files to wear sharp edges .. then a coffee can full of nuts and bolts....then polish with a jewelers cloth ....then repeat the process...............

  16. remove the feet and use adhesive dial dots ........works in a pinch

  18. hi guys, teejay..i apply the wax in layers to build it up..then apply charcoal to suit..the lume is stilll visible but not alot...brightlight,if you have a second hand ,when you get back id love to buy it from you..thank you very much, kin tama
  19. hi, thank you for the responses...i have crystals...its the seconds hand that i really need ..i guess i can buy a set of hands on ebay and either crimp it on or bore it out til it fits..i just figured that the asian movements would have a standard size second hand...teejay,i used liquid brown shoe wax and charcoal pencil on the dial...i try to experiment with different mediums...i like to use watercolours as well .......kin tama
  20. this is one i picked up and have become a bit attached to..my south african navy rolex..its a simple asian movement..heres the rub...on these vintage type asian movt subs that i have worked on i have noticed that on all of them you can pry up the crystal with your fingernail quite easily ..so its incredibly easy to do dial mods and pop the crystal back on...BUT....the other day i must have banged the watch pretty hard ..somewhere between the post office and home i lost the crystal and the second hand ....does anyone know where i can get replacement second hands for these movements? any any any help would be appreciated...kin tama

  23. heres another one....the watch is a silix asian i believe...i just redid the dial...the sticker is from an orange...HAPPY HALLOWEEN : )
