Thanks for the Info,Rob.
But thats not the question,i need to know to put of the daydisk not the date wheel on an daydatemovement Eta 2846...?
You Know what i mean?
I retapp the tubehole everytime on my MBW's...
The risk is to high to damage the tube or broke it, i know it i killed several tubes
It's very easy to retap with the right tapping tool...
After that, put a little bit Hypo cement on the threads than you can install the tube easily...
Sometimes you must drill a countersink that the tube sits flush on the case...
But it's only my way to do it...
I think it's a vintage crown for Submariner or SD,there was a tube for this one...
With no gasket outline...
Look here..
I think Randy is right about this
Ref. 24-702 (Coronet w/ 3 dots; no external gasket tube)
1973 - 1984.
Hope this helps
I'm interested in your expierience of lugholedrilling too...
On my Franken the Lugholes where correct....
I think thats a TW case problem,i've heard this often...
By the way Lion,
when you drill out the hole for the tube...
Drill in more steps, because the material on the caseback is thin...
