Gpf Buckle Modified to a Strapmasters Shape Buckle
rolli replied to rolli's topic in The Panerai Area
important is that you have to look behind the scenery. i have learned a lot from this board, especially from ziggy. so i could give my watchmaker a lot from ziggy's know-how. at this point big thanks to ziggy that he give us so much from his knowledge and experience. that means many discussions and exchange of experience with my watchmaker and my appetency for the pvd technology and experiences from the different pvd companies. in the last 2 years i studied in the watchmaker technology which is possible and which not. so i could give my watchmaker a lot of ideas and suggestions. so by now we are a very good team. rolli -

Pam Slob Project Pvd Aged Bronze - 2nd Step Manufacturing
rolli replied to rolli's topic in The Panerai Area
hi victoria, nice to hear from you. my engraver said today, the caseback with the complete pam and slob engraving is ready next week and also next week comes the plexi. the price for this pvd bronze model will be higher than for a normal pvd model. if this bronze model completely finished than i can say the final price. rolli -

hi davidsen, here another good tip. you should rework the marker and numerals with rhodium inlay or similar before you insert the super luminova. it brings twice more lume power. my watchmaker makes this always with the lower sandwich dial before he works with superlume. rolli

hi all, here is the 2nd step manufacturing of the pam slob project pvd aged bronze: strap: dirk plummy shark pre-vendome with 5218-2 buckle. assebled: case, bezel, crown, crown-guard, gaskets, screws, sapphire, caseback, dial, hands, unitas movement. the plexi frontglass is in fabrication, the caseback get the slob typical engraving. dial and hands get the rc-tritec bg-w9 / c3 super luminova. enjoy with the pictures !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rolli

yes it's a great project. i say always the right step to the right time. this local company which makes my coatings is one of the best company here for decorative coatings. this deep dark aged bronze shade is only possible in connection with mixed granulate material blasting. this company has no other customer for this aged bronze shade, so they had to start a single batch, only for me for this watch parts with one pvd machine with a special material target base plate. when i get the invoice i can say the price for this coating. titanium case disassembled in single parts, case, bezel, crown-guard without lever and pin and crown-guard screws. this parts get the aged bronze coating. in titanium look stays crown, lever and pin, lug-horn spindle screws, caseback. you need a blank titanium caseback from davidsen, which get the right engraving. today i have talked with a local company which makes the plexi glasses, in the next days i will get the right plexi. let me finish it at first and then i can say which this fun costs. the dial, you should take the 111/177 sandwich dial and hands, it's better for a relume work. in which quality the unitas movement, thats your taste. at the first that's all. cheers rolli

thanks kruzer, i had this project in my head for long time and in this moment as i saw the real slob again i thought to myself, i must do that, i was like a one possessed. rolli
