  3. i have to say to flav's statement, what he said is absolutely correct. every week my watchmaker gets from me pams for mods or adjustment or pam single parts for mounting or anything. and i know he has always a lot of customers work on his bench, but he tries always my order to manage in between and sometimes it does'nt work, so he has to accomplish first the customers work. i know a watchmaker work is very sensible and needs time and it's also sometimes stressful and it's absolutely handwork and each day to work with an eye magnifier, thats too hard. nobody can work with an eye magnifier under stress. so, folk, it's very important to give these watchmakers and members here no stress and please a lot of respect. otherwise if you get a kick, don't be surprised. peace for all !!!!!!!!!!!!!! rolli

  15. the chrono lever inside with all chrono watches is always a weak point if it is not well oiled. laz, i have sent a pm. rolli
  16. dear ziggy i have a pam192 and inside is this venus175 movement. my watchmaker changed the crown with a palp crown. in the palp crown is the thread hole a bit deeper, so he had to change the stem. in his spare part box he has some original venus175 stems and some other venus175 parts, so he could change the stem and it fits perfect. i say always, a good watchmaker find always a way, my watchmaker is master and for his master craftsman certificate he built a tourbillon watch from the start to the end. i want to say with this, in the most cases he can build a new part. not everything but a lot is possible. rolli
  17. laz, this venus 175 movement is a very well known movement. the most watchmaker know this movment. it is not difficult to find the defect. it is in most cases a simple reason. ask your watchsmith and maybe he find this problem. rolli
  18. hi laz, not good to hear that from you. but normally this venus175 movt is a very robust movement. it can be a little lever inside is broken, he's for the start / stop hand, the large hand. i know how it works this movement, but it's very hard for me to explain it, all the things in english. it can be that a little part is broken. or dust, dirt. it can be also that a pusher clips. the movement has 2 little plates. on this plates you press the big pusher for the start/stop function. also here can be dirt/dust. you have to know, with each movement is everything reperable. don't worry be happy. you know this song. du dup du do du dup dup du da--- don't worry--- be happy-----. you can build-in original parts or you have a 2nd reserve movement, like me. so, send it to your watchsmith or to me. the problem, it costs money. the watchmaker have to take a look. that's it. rolf
  19. this is an old device. this device operates only with pressure not with vacuum technology. but vacuum is the most important test. the watch gets an expansion and here you can see whether the gaskets hold the watch really waterproof. a test with pressure is mostly the second test. the new modern device from greiner is the poseidon. rolli
  20. yes, but also this is possible and not too difficult. you need the normal tools and a hand grinder and a good mood. and in between the work a lot of phone calls and thousend rwg emails. and then pugy jumps out of the window to the next brain doctor, or used a pump gun for the members. rolli
  21. pug, that's a great idea. i think you get a lot of orders. to swap the cannon pinion is very simple, it's not a big effort. you should make it. rolli
  22. the product manager of the fabricator witchi eletronics told me today, when a watch passes the test with 10 bar pressure positive, then the 20 bar pressure test will be positive also. therefore operate the commercial devices with 10 bar. I think that was helpful. rolli
  23. it's not worth to talk about it. it's too crappy. rolli
  24. here the pam111 pvd with regia marina strap. rolli
