  7. Hi Samurai Well the existing sec@12 model T3 is only 53mm case size is far to small should be 57.5mm, the hands are wrong, and the screws that hold the crown guards are not cross heads. I have used 3 different watches to make this plus a strap from AP Bands, and a hugh amount of mods to make the movement fit into the larger case. This is now the closest T3 to the original (Photo comparison attached) Hope this explains the mods Best Regards Richard
  8. Hi All Just had a first attempt at a T3 my favourite watch (Having 8.5 inch wrist) Almost the right size 58mm with seconds at 12.00 and almost correct hands !!! Just wish I could find a titanium case (this one is stainless steel) but quite pleased with the results. Thanks for looking Richard Lawton

  13. Hi Toni, Just ask a taxi driver to take you to the GOLD SOUQ in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi. There are several good shops in these souq (Souq means Market in Arabic) selling S/H genuine watches at good price but be prepared to haggle over the price and you will get a good deal. There are about 4/5 good shops in Dubai souq running adjacent to the main road, Opposite the Intercon Hotel. In Abu Dhabi the gold souq is like a shopping center full of shops selling gold. Again there are several shops selling good value second hand watches. (Note: there are no quality replicas here) Hope This Helps Richard

  18. Hi Richard, I have been an avid watch collector now for the past 25yrs, and must fully agree with your first statement. " Let me start by saying that I love mechanical watches,... always have and always will". I must also admit that I have several quartz watches in my collection including a Breitling Emergency Mission, Tag Microtimer and Rolex Oyster Quartz to name but a few. (All different styles of watches), but when I wear them there's never any need to adjust them, wind them, check the time etc and after a while there's just something about a mechanical movement that you miss. So if you obtain your pleasure from mechinical watches don't go back to a Quartz. Just my opinion Best Regards Richard Lawton
