  1. I would love some helpful suggestions here....I am taking apart the keyless works of a 7750 and I have run into a stuck screw. It still has a slot on the head, but it is starting to become worn from my attempts to undo it. Also I can see it is wearing down the tips of my screwdrivers. What do you all do when you run into a tough screw? I am trying to selectively work on the keyless works so I don't want to have to soak the whole movement in a solution. Thanks for your expertise!
  2. generosity warms the heart! So does a free watch!
  3. The tt navi is artwork. You two have some great taste.
  4. Lol, classic. That was a great read! Beered up or not, thanks for the tips....keep um coming. I've been playing with movements for a few months now, everytime I start messing with my current swiss 7750 project my heartrate goes up about 80 bpm.
  5. It does not get much more beautiful than a Lange IMHO...
  6. I agree that navitimers look best on leather. The new rep straps, either the tang style or the new alligator print deployant, are getting much much better. A gen strap is best of course. I've tried on a gen TT with the black alligator deployant and it looked beautiful.
  7. I saw it confirmed in a couple places what Simon was actually wearing: Oceanaut Aviador hxxp://www.oceanautwatches.com/collections/gents/aviador.html The president of that company is the Watch Commander from shopathometv, he mentioned it on-air.
  8. Yeah for digging up old threads! I saw it confirmed in a couple places what Simon was actually wearing: Oceanaut Aviador hxxp://www.oceanautwatches.com/collections/gents/aviador.html The president of that company is the Watch Commander from shopathometv, he mentioned it on-air.
  9. I understand your anger and sympathize with your situation. However, RWI still has many good people, good information, and is a fun environment to enjoy our hobby in. Putting a blanket statement over the entire forum and its members is hurtful, as most of the members just want to be rid off all the drama and talk about watches and other interesting things. I have learned a great deal from Pug and Andreww, and not having them their to share information, when helpful, is a loss. I know I don't understand most of what is behind all of the recent anger and resentment, but I do know I have learned a great deal and have enjoyed reading and talking about my favorite hobby at RWI...just the same as RWG and TRC. I have never posted in one of the "heated" threads before, but I felt strongly on this one. If you have to carry anger, let it be towards the people that you felt did you wrong, and not blanketed over the entire forum. Thanks guys.
  10. As I understand it, and there are far more qualified people than I to answer, but I think the major issue is wear after the oil has evaporated. The oil takes 5 years to evaporate (if there was ever any there at all....common problem in reps), and is NOT dependent on use or disuse. So, theoretically having it on a winder all the time should not make any difference. However, common sense might say SOMETHING has to be wearing away. Basically the arguement gets stuck here and boils down to do whatever you are happy with. I have a winder, and I like it. Some people don't see the need. I don't think there is hard evidence that it is a bad thing or a good thing FOR your watch. Hope that helps more than it confuses.
  11. congrats again, she's lookin good.
  12. Spectacular show....boy doesn't assembling a tourbillon look easy? You aren't kidding about that guy's teeth, reminded me of the emporer from star wars.
  13. That watch was my wallpaper for a loooong time. This strap is close, except for the contrast stitching: http://www.lonestarwatches.com/Bungee.htm Glad to help, enjoy!
  14. Here's a couple of my favorite pics to tide us over until you post some of your new baby!
  15. I couldn't be happier for you! I will always want a B-1, they look so damn cool! Congrats Sir.
  16. My brother was telling me about this, but he couldn't remember what paper he read it in. Thanks a bunch!
  17. Agreed, it looks like someone told the manufacturers that people were asking about the new one so they threw together the quickest crap they could make. Terrible shame. The only positive I see is the crown guards and crown look better than the current swiss smp.
  18. Great site David, that's gonna eat up a few minutes of my afternoon. Thanks!
  19. I bet that guy sells plenty of them, I would think few are as observent or knowledgable as you were in that situation. The only thing that would have stopped me is that "too good to be true" sensation. At least with watches that feeling sometimes actually holds!
  20. A good friend shared a treat last evening, picked up in Nicaragua. I thought it would be a good time for a few shots before they were enjoyed.
  21. A kid I know owns that one, its a gen for sure. I have no idea how he could afford a tourbillon as a high school student!
  22. I wish some of these were bigger, but still they are outstanding! Warning, these will set even a DSL on fire.... http://anonym.to/?http://forums.watchuseek...ead.php?t=54389 Enjoy.
  23. Some hi rez pics to stir up more craving and demand....we need this baby!
