  1. I could look at vintage rolex all day.
  2. I fell in love with this watch too! Most any classic style 7751 based watch really. I'm thrilled to see a moonphase out of asia without the stupid smiling sun
  3. looks really nice.....45mm though is stretching it for me....grr
  4. Great shots, lots of wallpapers in there.
  5. Lonestar alligator was a good match I think.
  6. Been there too. You will be shocked by how small the studio really is, at least I was. I'm not sure about the gold thing, I remember going to line up hours before the show though. Have fun!
  7. I learned a new photoshop skill with this one....Drop shadow Layer >>>Layer style >>> drop shadow
  8. I've been on the search for some too for a couple one-off customs. I asked the same question in a couple gen forums but ended up buying from ofrei anyway. Someone did show me this site....check out who they have made dials for.....very interesting! Cador Dials
  9. I want it, I dont care that people will make fun of me nonstop.
  10. I sitting on my verizon upgrade till this baby comes out.
  11. I use auto polish....the liquid car wax will do. Message it on with your finger, let it dry and polish it off with a cloth. I do multiple coats. The cloth ends up being BLACK even if the watch looked clean before. Bracelets especially glow afterwords and it leaves a nice soft protective coat. Here is how it looks on a sub braclet:
  12. Just got in a Jurgen's for my flieger.
  13. My search for nice 6497 watch for small wrister's is over! I've been reading about the history of these the past few days. They appeared a few years ago from this small swiss company. They sold cheap and then went out of production because of the low profit margins. Real Swiss 6497, very nice case, mineral crystal w/o AR, superlumed hands, not quite as bright lume on the numbers. Really solid watch. 40.5 mm case. Got a brown alligator strap coming for it, and I'm on the lookout for a double rivet big pilot strap.
  14. I was watching that auction like a hawk too chieftang. That movement was beautiful.
  15. I am not sure what made me want to take off the Bond bracelet, as I think its one of the best looking bracelets there is, but I just had to see how this rubber strap looked on it. I love it. It has completely changed the look and character of the watch (as well as the feel, much lighter and and stays in place on my wrist). Best of all, the thing cost me $8! As for the watch...its my project from last year. Ressurected broken SMP with serviced ETA 7750, gen hands, shortened stem, and corrected bezel.
  16. This is a good looking brand IMO, in some department stores its the most interesting brand they carry.
  17. Love taking pictures of this one, the grapes are from my backyard.
  18. Ah, I'm sorry my friend. I searched long and hard for one for my brother too. The best I could find was this B-1. It is actually a great watch taken as it is, but it is not close enough next to the real thing. I still wear it once in awhile as it does look good on the wrist. 1024x768 1024x768 1024x768 1024x768 1024x768
  19. I was wondering this as well. I've heard on the UPO dials there are little pin feet holding the logo on that need to be pushed through from the back. I'm not sure if the 42 has the same thing.
