  1. You are at the begining, you aint seen nothin yet :) that show grows on you for every episode!

I just finished boardwalk empire, it was good nice filmed and intresting! Took me a few episodes to get hooked :) but im realy looking forward to seson two!

Just finished S02... Had a freeish weekend :) he's come a long way from the beginning. The writing is fantastic, and the actors are very good too, but the ATM part was cold-hearted :) (no further spoilers for this still watching)

Will update after S03 over the next few days, this show is addictive :)

  2. Well, i guess i stepped on too many estrogen buttons with a simple question.

    BAM!

@krpster - True... The SOH is a sexy beast. Only because the dial is so magnificent and it makes up for the lack of chronograph. But do you know what's even better than an SOH?

    ...

    ...

    An SOHC :)

  3. The DSSD has a similar presence if not more because it is shiny and says Rolex on the dial.

I would ask yourself this. Would a broke student be wearing a $9000 DSSD? Your Brietling SOSF, has much more plausibility.

Finally, and this is just a personal pet peeve / opinion, but be ready for the "Gas Escape Valve" Jokes. (Why did Rolex have to put that on the FRONT of the DSSD? :bangin:)

Keep the Breitling mate :) plaifender's suggestion of the $88 21J is ideal to try it out, you might love it, or you might hate it, not worth the risk to sacrifice the SOSF.

    Keep us posted :)

  4. Sax for 10 years, Did my A.Mus.A AMEB diploma at 17, but never did the Theory component, so I crammed the entire 1st to 5th year syllabus in 8 weeks with private lessons... Passed with Distinction, and proof that cramming works :)

Since then, dabbled with other wind instruments, Shakuhachi flute, Armenian Duduk, various flutes, I've made my own traditional folk instruments, good fun :)

  5. I think this may have been a gen special addition at some stage. I love the lack of T's and L's on the dial so there is no lume. Its a chicks watch and if I saw a bird wearing one it be big Kudos to her. I think Hiedi Klum , Seals model Misses has a gen of these and I would kick her out of bed for wearing one.

"kick her out of bed"? Really? Heidi Klum? You must be a hardcore PAM nut :)

  6. My ultimate grail & the only watch that has (so far) eluded my franken-built clutches is the Lange 1, in precisely the form that tomhorn posted above. 2nd after the 1 is the ultimate Rolex collectible - the SS 6062 Moonphase (preferably with dauphine hands)

Is this based on aN ETA 7751 movt?

  7. But the color can be soooo dificult judge by looking on photos as the white balance is most of the time set incorrect :whistling:

Exactly... You guys are comparing apples and oranges here. You need to colour balance, or photograph them all together. Also depends a lot on surrounding light conditions etc, sometimes it's almost impossible to capture the exact colour the eyes see when replicated on a screen.
