Awesome thread, bro
I think my favorite Bond watch was the Seiko he wore in Octopussy. That was probably the first watch which truly caught my attention, and when I was younger, I had an ana/digi Casio with a similar display
Just watched Octopussy the other day (one of the free to air channels has been playing all the old bond movies every Thursday night). You have to remember that those Quartz displays were seriously futuristic 30 years ago when these movies were being made, it is a very recent idea that digital watches became passé via a very effective marketing campaign by the Swiss
That Seiko in Octopussy was seriously bad-ass. Now we know from where the Monster inherited its 'badass' genes

DLC coated stainless steel :-(
+1. The original is Aluminium Oxide aka ceramic
-
Not that the gen is much to look at though either
Ohh, SNAP!
The old Omegas aren't bad to look at, especially the James Bond versions with the details on the dial and the 007 on the end of the seconds hand

Good idea... here a 12 month old pic.... since then it has grown by 4-5 bottles...
Bloody hell Dutchie! The majority of those are female fragrances but you've still got a shiiteload of men's fragrances there.
I shouldn't reveal one of my biggest secrets, but it's this:
Hot dates and serious job interviews/promotion interviews only. This stuff is nectar from the gods, IMHO.

The case design is a very modern take on the luminor?
I've always liked these. It's what PANERAI would look like if it finally moved into the 20th Century...

Via iPhone so you'll have to take my word on it, too. Gen 1947 Omega 2505 manual wind small seconds measuring in at 38mm with no crown. Biggin' for its time.
Lol!
Step 1: sign up for a Photobucket account
Step 2: take a picture with your iPhone
Step 3: download and launch the photobucket iPhone app, upload your pic, and press on the IMG upload code. It will automatically copy.
Step 4: navigate to RWG, and paste.
Here's one I prepared earlier:
Night on the town, took along the 44mm PAM on croc, I swear the girl I took with me had on something that must have been 50mm. I'll check out what it was and let you guys know
Step 5: enjoy the awesome picture

Awesome writeup. I'm stealing the picture for an entirely different purpose for some fabrication work we need done at work. What a great post!

Nah I wouldn't worry bout it , it will turn up. Though I did have a mate who had a Pine cone christmas decoration stopped at customers and was charged $60 for it to be disposed
$60 for them to throw it in a furnace? What a jib!
-
Do you mind sharing them with us?
Of course mate
that's what we're here for
1. The shape of the head of the CG lever
- I haven't really bothered yet, but you can easily reshape it
2. The position of the date wheel, the A7750 position is different
- not much to do, but it's not so noticeable without vernier calipers.
3. The movement
- not much to do about that, but the rotor replication is very good
The AR is quite good in person, and the lume is o the 'super' variety and very long-lasting, hence my comments that there are other bigger tells.
-
WTF is up with Australia, you guys seem to have the hardest quarantine regulations!
Hope it'll get sorted quickly mate!
Mate, you have NO idea...
-
I noticed a few old faces back and posting... They must have all escaped from the same asylum...it's the only obvious explanation
P.S. Good to see you guys

Did anyone else have the thought of what is to stop people from buying a 318, returning it to Panerai to get an upgraded movement, get the watch back and put in an standard ETA that it came with? No one would be able to tell the difference on the 318 even if you pulled off the back, and you would have a brand new real Panerai movement to put into something else.
Observe the inner workings in the mind of an evil genius
Haha
*runs to AD to pick up a 318*

Not bad at all:) , is it just my eye`s , or gen lume is slightly more blue than rep lume if charged?
A touch different, but not noticeable when separated.
In response to a previous post, the AR is single-sided, but not quite as effective as the gen.
Incidentally, both these points are nitpicky, there are far more obvious tells. Importantly, they're easily solved
-
Don't knock the Citizens, they're great watches, and bulletproof reliability
-
Very cool! And thanks to the texture no poorly done aftermarket branding on the dial
Agreed, that branding makes their Rolexes look Doucherific!
-
Please excuse my lack of knowledge but which one is the gen on these pictures?
1.
2.
3.
Thanks in advance.
1. Right
2. Bottom
3. Right
Cheers

BAM! Justice prevails...
-
I don't think so. It falls in the under the copyright infringement rules. Reported.
Damn straight
-
What a piece of crap. The description is gold
it is 1:1 scale and made of glass and steel and virtually indistinguishable from the gen... How about just calling it a rep then!!
-
What a great idea, the science seems sound, looking forward to what they come up with

Yes I agree that's another issue too. However there has always been a bit of ambiguity about his shipment times... Lets just hope everyone gets their stuff soon. I know Fleet and myself pretty much ordered around the exact same date so it should be around. Perhaps with that we could estimate others wait time.
Like you I was told it will be shipped same week and i will have it in the next 8 days!
Yeah, that's not great business practice. He does come through, I have one of his PAM croc straps and it's superb. Probably one of the highest quality straps I own
Good luck getting your straps fellas, hope they arrive soon

AP Diver - Blackout Edition
in The Audemars Piguet Area

So what would this take?
I see:
- DLC coating of the case, endlinks and buckles.
- Not really up with APs. Strap is stock rubber?
- Doesn't look that bad, very doable mod![:)](https://rwg.cc/datastore/emoticons/emoticons/default_smile.png)
