  1. Yes, it is that color--sorry, my lighting in those photos suck--my studio lights are out on loan at the moment...
  2. Well, as usual, there will definitely be more. Thanks for the outstanding customer service!
  3. Absolutely. Check my latest Bergie review:
  4. About three weeks ago, I received a gorgeous Louis Vuitton suitcase from Kenberg, and am long overdue for reviewing it. This piece was so much more than I had expected, I felt it deserved a bit of praise. (Excuse a few scratches on it, as it's already been from Florida to Toronto, and Florida to Chicago and back) This piece measures roughly 16" x 20" x 8", and is of the old-fashioned LV Monogram canvas line. Just like the original, it comes with genuine cowhide-trim, and thick, sturdy rubber-coated canvas, and solidly constructed inner hardware that really make this piece reliably tough; the side-walls are quiet strong. Excellent craftsmanship--the canvas is the perfect color, the stitching is near-flawless and the straps and hardware are secured to the case tighter than a crab's ass: Thick, solid plastic guards on the side & bottom, as well: Great markings, and interior serial: And inside, something I did not expect. I had anticipated buying an LV garment bag for my suits as well, but unbeknownst to me this suitcase actually came with a built-in garment bag--with a metal LV hanger. Two straps with leather trim & metal harware to secure the contents: (the garment bag attaches to the inside flap of the suitcase via four snap-buttons: And the garment bag fits nicely over the top of the rest of the suitcase's contents, and snaps to the lid when you're ready to close it: All in all, a fantastic piece. Thanks Ken!
  5. Apparently, this: http://sofiasreplica.com/ A few years back, I reviewed this site and began purchasing all my stuff from them, as their quality was top-notch. Then, for no apparent reason they began to blatantly lie about pricing, over-charged my card and revoked my wholesale discount (which they had promised in writing), and then when questioned about their mistakes practically told me they didn't give a damn, weren't going to anything about it, and that if I didn't like it then I could go find another site. I seriously doubt I was the only person they had tried to take advantage of... I then started buying more from Sead and Bergie and ereplicabags, which I rated here: Of course, I had nothing to do with them getting thrown in the can and shut down, but after seeing that this morning I must admit it gives me great pleasure knowing that scam-artists like this who lie and steal actually wind up getting truly fukced. Adios, douchebags.
  6. That must have really been something if it could have shut his pompous ass up...
  7. Ceramic mid-links? Yeaaahh... won't be buying that one...
  8. It's viscosity is thinner and has the fastest evaporation rate. In other words, it's not going to thin out the paint left behind too much, which might water it down or re-wet it to the point that it has to dry all over again.
  9. On a side note, Shamianna in O-town was so good we actually drove from an hour away every Friday for six years to have dinner there.
  10. To me, a truly "great" Indian restaurant is hard to find. UK does have some great finds, of course. Brick St in London was joke... One of the best meals I've ever had was at Rajdoot, in Cirencester, out in the Cotswolds. Holy Christ, now that was good. The closest I've found in the States was at Cilantro, in Tampa--or the now defunct Shamianna in Orlando. I usually go for a Chicken Korma, Chicken Makhni, or a nice Jalfrezi curry.
  11. It actually has to do with the fact that the crystals pre V4--from their side profile--used to have a convex (domed) top and a flat bottom. Now, post v5, both the bottom and the top of the crystal are convexed, which is why you see the distortion caused by refraction due to the different shape. I personally believe the reason why they did this was because the rehaut on the v4's & previous were a hair too deep, and instead of going through the trouble of changing the case by shortening the rehaut, thus having to redo the engraving, they found it an easier solution to just use a different shaped crystal, giving the illusion that the rehaut is thinner.
  12. On most V5s, the spacer ring is different than the traditional spacer rings used on other watches. The screws in the ring are actually threaded and positioned so that they work opposite to others--in other words, tightening the screws will loosen the ring & movement inside the case. Loosening the screws by turning as if to unscrew them will actually tighten the movement against the inside of the case. Try it & see if that helps.
  13. And definitely write to ask for that two-piece caseback.

  15. Easiest way to tell is by looking; if it's not sealed, seal it. Always err on the side of caution.
  16. Thank you. I'll be playing with a few different new shoots when I'm back from Toronto in a few weeks.
  17. She's a model--it's what she does for a living, so if she doesn't mind, I don't give it a second thought. I'm not too conservative.
  18. Sounds as if you're set to go--as long as the V3 hands match the lume of the the V5 dial.
  19. Does anyone in the US (preferably close to Florida) have an ETA or clone ETA with a Rolex date-wheel they can overnight me? I'll pay the fees. Thanks.
  20. In time, my brothers. All in good time...
