OK here is the Josh version:
Here is the Gen:
Notice that Josh's have the bi-level edge on the date window.....the MBW do NOT have this bi-leveling from what I can tell by the pics.
Still.... it seems like Josh's version opens up from the front too since I see no way of removing the caseback.
Josh version has sec hand, extra dot marker at 3:00 (?), and thick markers...still not bad.
Looking forward to a review of this one.

Looks like the MBW Patek jumbo is on Josh site!
Can't wait to see the price on this one.

That is some funny stuff Ape
My first good laugh this week!....at least he's seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

i can confirm the navi world does NOT have any AR. if there is light AR you can usually see some tint of blue when light hits it. if the glare is all white then there isnt any AR. hopefully that helps.
Hello Chief,
If there is still room, I'd like to have 4 done.
thanks

I haven't looked at the 5th gen for a long time but from memory, the 4th gen logo was a little low and the wrong shape, the 5 gen logo was a shade high and still the wrong shape (feet curl up instead of flat)
Its possible I have missed a version of this watch and could be wrong so it would be wise to have a search yourself.
Good luck with your project.
Dial and hands make a huge difference due to lume. Dial is 150 and hands around 50. A gen crystal should also fit and it comes with correct AR for another 150.

i love the corum philosophy creativity
my gen bubble is a great value at 8-900 bucks. yeah its a quartz but the crystal is so damn cool.
and with a thick strap and pre v 24mm buckle its one bad ass watch.
i just got the aviator bubble rep. the crystal is alot better tham the casino bubble.
i first got into corum trying on a gold admirals cup. lokked very cool on. wasnt a big fan of it in the display case.
and for the ladies the bubble mini which is discontinued with diamonds 900 for the gen. and it is super stunning
Does the quartz bubble have a sweeping second hand? I've seen it advertised as such and am aware of some quartz watches with a sweeping hand (Beta 21, Accutron, etc.)
TIA

Very nice watches!
The black movement skeleton bubble is an awesome piece and one of the gens I'd consider getting. None of the bubble reps compare to their gen counterparts due to the crystal

So--does that mean that the 21J from Andrew and the "swiss ETA" from Josh have the same face, body etc., or should I spend more to hope to get a better overall look???
I think you are telling me I should feel fine about the 21J--is that right?
Thanks.
The 21J will not accept gen hands and u won't be able to slap on a gen dial since the feet positions are different. U could try King or silix or another dealer for slight better pricing.

Predfan,
Here's an option for you, I know this is a date model dial but it is a gen Tudor and a deal.
that dial says 16.3 mm? typo?
I've always wanted to make a tudor watch too but most dials are 26 mm....I thought rep cases always needed larger dials....like 28-29 mm. So a vintage rolex case will fit 26 mm dials?
TIA

check out the screws on that bezel. what a laugh.
is it a quartz?
It's suppose to be a asian high-beat 7750. The have always been quartz versions of the AP chronos but the manufactures just started rolling out the automatics this year, IMO
-
interestingly, Paul has a new rep....30th ANNIVERSARY CITY OF SAIL....its not a city of sails but it is close to the AP RO model 25960 (Chronograph):
Here is the gen:
Secs at 6 on the gen.
Here is what is offered by Paul:
So the manufactures have added a cyclops and changed the hands significantly
I can live with the secs at 9:00 and removing the cyclops myself....but finding the correct hands that would fit seems too much trouble....of course they are available on the offshore models.
Oh well.....but with this model....it seems the real city of sails would be close behind....maybe another few months?
Opinions?

Picked up my AP EOD today from the post office. Kool_watch came thru. Although not of the highest quality, I really like the look of the nylon strap. Chronos are working perfect and time is very accurate on this slow beat asian 7750 However there is a silver dot where the black was scratched off but that's minor....a sharpie should fix it. I'll post pics later in the week The yellow #'s do have light lume on them and the hands are a bit better.....-re-luming would be difficult since the hands are painted yellow.....oh well.......I can live with that.

This is the same technique used by the IWC skeletons so you could always buy one of those movements to get the o-ring
Super nice watch Chris.
How about attempting to blue flame all the SS parts and then sticking the blue hands back on
Funny how of all my reps, I get the most complements from my skeleton pam.

I seem to recall somebody developing a simple press in stud to correct "shortpinionitis" on Pam's...I haven't followed up much lately, so has this ever been developed..???....Seems almost too simple!! :whistling:
Davidsen sells capped hands to fix the problem.
-
super nice....I'm tempted to do one with a silver skeleton movement. Tourby's case is especially nice. Does it come with super AR?

River
yup, river has them for a good price and u can get the SS bracelet too for a bit more.

well.......I went for the st.exupery because of it's distinctive design as opposed to the 3717, which is great, but looks so much like every other IWC.
Ditto...I went for the st exuprey as well....the brown dial is awesome and I already have several black faced chronos.

Hmm... noticed a "blem" with this rep., the seconds subdial at 9 should be brown like the face. For some reason, the rose gold version has all subs in silver:

I got mine from River and ordered the bracelet and leather. The leather looks nice in the pics but feels crappy. It looks awesome with the bracelet! The dial particularly stands out.

That's a super price on an auto SMP! Which AD did u go to and where is it located?

Seems Josh has just released the high beat version of the 3717 for the same price..
~268.
-
Are those silver/SS screws on the AP Jumbo? If so then mother of god, I have to get one!
-
That SMP is nice! The He valve seems to be in the correct position too (from OLD FACTORY). Is the He valve position a result for your mod or was it always off the 10 marker abit?

is that a quartz dial?
Yes, it is quartz dial....it does look real tho.
New MBW on Josh's site?

Just a FYI....looking at the MBK version, dot markers are missing from 11-1 o'clock too (black version) and it suffers from the crown being deep in the case from what i can tell via pics. 3:00 dot marker is missing which correct according to gen.
