Actually, on my rubber clad, there is a small gray spot on the lume at the 8 marker but the watch arrived that way...it just looks like uneven luming but its tiny.

Which versions did you buy? On the secs at 12 versions, not all of them have lume on the markers.....so the white paint it turning gray? Are u leaving them in the vegas dessert or something?

I beleive this is the one that Angela from Ioffer was selling. Looks great with the gen dial.

Im surprise that Francisco used a mineral crystal. Even more suprise that Chief double A/R a mineral crystal - didn't think he would.

Overall, one of my favorite watches. Wear it well.

There is no reason chief would not AR a mineral crystal...only prob is if it had an AR coating which would not allow the use of polishing paste...making removal of the original coat difficult.

I see other correct He seamasters on ioffer and am tempted but hesitate after the angela incident.

I don't think the gen bezel on offrei works....people have tried and the bezel will not fit the rep case.....$200+ for attempting to extract the gen pearl seems abit too much to spend on a rep

Where did u get the case....from ioffer Angela? What about the crystal?

One of the problems with rep omegas is the crystal...some of the curved ones distort the dial way too much when viewing at an angle. Strange that I don't see this problem with the blue bond omega.

I just use tweezers....plastic or rubber and get as close to watch as possible viewing the watch at a side angle. Lay the hand gently on the tip and then press down gently from the top where the hand attaches to the post.

The ROO and the rep RO chrono are both 42 mm (excluding crown). They are the same size....the oracle strap fits perfectly on both models. The RO chrono is inaccurate in that the rep factory just used a ROO case to make the watch. As stated the gen is only 40 mm.

My Paris model which came from King (white datewheel) had a decent rubber strap....far from exceptional....but decent. This rubber does not compare to the Sec @ 12 rubber clad which has one of the best rubbers in the rep world, IMO. The dial layout of the PARIS model is one of my favorites and the rep strap does not do the watch justice. Simple mods include an oracle carbon strap and Chief's newest AR process which brings the watch to another level of quality.

The Kill Bill is VERY cool and would be on the top of my list as well as the ORCHARD ROAD.

The bezel seems fairly solid so I suspect it is a rubber covering over SS. The bezel has none of the rough rubber scratches I've seen on some ROOs so perhaps the factory decided to improve the process after a limited run.

My AP final came from Silix...it took about 1.5 weeks but J&A have the best pricing at ~450. Small problems...slight scratch on the case (very minor) and a bit of uneven lume at the 8 marker.

Other than these two issues....watch is perfect and functioning perfect. I could not have expected a better watch. Lume is actually very good on this version....the watch glows in room after entering indoors....something my superlumed PAM and gen dialed omega do. Rubber strap is awesome.

Silix is actually a very dependable dealer....just a few days longer in shipping but this was during the olympics so who knows.

Maybe the pink hue is also made more noticeable because the DSN crystal is a little thicker than the original crystal?

This would make the border of the DSN crystal stick out of the bezel a little more than the original crystal. As the pink hue is especially visible on the border, this would make it more easily seen.

Has any1 tried OFREI's 35.5mm pink sapphire crystal on a PAM? its only 2 m thick instead of the 3.5 of the DVN. OFREI's would be a much cheaper source at $45.

Yes....oracle comes with endlinks...I just paid for an oracle kevlar strap 30 min ago

U can even buy extra endlinks.

I already have the carbon strap which is simply awesome.

I am shocked at what the going rates are for the AP endlinks.

I want to order the carbon fiber strap from Oracle. Does this come with the 4 end links? I got 2 quotes from them as I sent 2 email inquiries a week or so ago. The end links are way more expensive than the straps (just like Elliot's).

The reason why I ask is that I ordered already a croc black/off-white from Strapluxe and I would like to get tight fitting endlinks. From what I've read, Oracle is the one who has these tight fitting links.

So, again, if I order the Oracle carbon fiber strap, does it come with the endlinks or do I have to order them separately?

I want to put the carbon fiber Oracle on my Rubber AP and I want to put the Strapluxe croc on my steel AP ROO (coming).

Or, can I use the endlinks from the steel AP ROO for the Strapluxe strap; and use the endlinks from the Rubber AP ROO with the Oracle carbon?

I think that's ok, of course if you look very very close with the sun shinning on it, you see that it was made with a marker but the rest of time, everytime, you can't see the difference.

This afternoon I have been to the sea and dived at 10 meters with the watch and it's ok!!!

swimming and diving with a rep chrono....wow...none of my chronos have seen water but I take my rollies, PO, and seamasters for a dip regularly after some waterproofing

If the case front is indeed 1:1 (the back is not as we know due to thickness issues) it should not be an issue. That being said, can you get me one!!!!!

u need to redrill the crown in the case....perhaps one of the new rep secs at 12 dials will work... but not sure. Gen dials are >$500 from those that I've seen.

Curious if the rep makers addressed the asymetric chrono/crown issue. If they did, then with all other promised goodies (subdial and bezel screws), it'll be truely 1:1.

looks so much better.

I have the same watch with Double Chief AR....looks outstanding and it's one of my top 3 watches design-wise. Mine has on a oracle carbon strap....highly recommend it. The rep rubber strap brings down the whole watch, imo.

I agree..cool but it will difficult the execute and still have the watch look good. Luming on bare metal does not look that great unless u apply a lot of lume and then u'll have consistency issues. I'd love to see an attempt tho.

She can no longer source these reps anymore. Whoever received the correct watch - they're golden. For those, including myself, who received the wrong watch - we're SOL. Had to send them back to her for a refund.

Its more like send them back...and not getting a refund...and having to resort to a CC chargeback from paypal. I'm still waiting to see if she disputes the chargeback or what PP's action will be.
