  1. LWA use to sell them over at RWI....if there is enuf interest u might convince him to sell it again.

I agree that Notiluma is crap. SL all the way.... I hear of moders adding notiluma to their custom mixes tho....I see no advantage except cutting their costs.

  2. I was thinking about adding a bracelet to my pam 113, but have come across people mentioning the lugs are a touch closer on his cases compared to others. Just thought I would ask if a bracelet will fit his case or would it need modifying? I need more weight on my wrist!

My DSN 111H case will not fit my PAM bracelet from silix. Good luck with the mod.

  3. A few more pics to see if you guys can ID the case.

There is an o-ring in the bezel and bezel spring is flat. Other than the lume marker falling off at 7:00 and the He valve, the watch feels nice...better than my other two subs.

  4. What versions of the SD have this He valve (spiral engraving)? I don't see it on any of the pics of the dealers. Can any1 identify the case (MBW, CN, TW best)? It looks nothing like the gen.

  5. I'd say the short hands and dial print on that wo-mart black smp is not good. I have seen one from River before with longer hands and good dial print. I do not know if River can still source it.

King has a decent version with a black date wheel. I suggest getting the ETA version...then u can swap gen dials and hands in the future. The gen dials and hands have awesome lume.

  6. I think this has been done before. A while ago I had been offered a two tone replica with a genuine serti dial from a very reputable dealer/watchmaker and he said the dial fits no problem. I think he just cut off the feet where to do it right you can buy some feet and attach them in the correct position.

Dial size is probably a bigger issue. I think the gen dial sizes are smaller than the reps...and only a MBW accepts the smaller dial sizes.

  7. Ubi, LOVE the AP. Where might I find one? You can PM me...

That AP jumbo is supposedly still in production by MBW. We could ask TTK to arrange a group buy maybe?

I'd love one and missed all previous opportunities to get that lovely watch. I was always on the fence due to the gold screws.

  8. Arrrgh, you're killing us by not posting pics 'til this weekend. Especially for a dude like me since I am on the verge of pulling the trigger on an Ingenieur.

I'd be very interested to see the lume pics too. I tried luming mine with C1 but I will never be able to get it like the gen where the small numbered text next to the markers, 15, 30, 45, and 60 are also lumed :(

Here is a pic of the gen lume:

  9. my mistake... the sandwich lume can be removed no problem. i meant the sausage dials lume cannot be safely removed..

My 111H DS dial appears really yellowish...sort of like a vintage lume color....This is the incorrect lume color too? The hands are off white but the numbers/markers appear yellow to me. Both glow really well tho.

The gen pics posted by flav new gen shows the hands and markers about the same color.

  10. I was curious about this myself,,,,it can be pretty tricky to get the hands right. If you turn it over, you might find that the hour hand will come loose since nothing is holding down the hour wheel. Looks very cool, Nice work.

Since the movement is from an IWC skeleton, the hour wheel must have some modification to be attached. I have no idea how they did it but it is securely on. Tourbillion would probably know since he works with these movements on a regular basis. One of the gears that the crown tube goes thru did drop out when I turned the watch upside down and its secure once the tube is inserted. The watch seems to be working perfectly now.

  11. After seeing Tourby's PAM skeletons, I decided to try it myself with some spare parts. My IWC skeleton was not getting much wrist time due to lack a decent strap so I took out the movement and placed it a spare 111 case with spare superlumed hands.

I probably need to re-do the hands and paint the subdial hand black.

  12. Was the stem fully pulled out (time setting position) when u pushed the button the first time? It should have been.

Did u use a small screw driver or sharp point to push the pin? The stem should just snap back in if u pushed it correctly. U don't push to re-insert the stem.

If u over extended the button then u're shafted...u'll have to take the watch apart or send it to some1 to fix.

    good luck.
