  1. I'm not sure if it's the angle or the nut camera operator, but both the v2 and the MBW seem to be a bit higher than yours.
  2. Ahhhh, so perhaps that would account for the bezel "not turning very freely" unless applying a bit of downward pressure to it while turning it?? (and perhaps some clueless wingnut thinking a tiny dab of penetrating oil would solve this minor issue) THOSE are some VERY nice pics, Capt. Seems you know your way around a camera AND around watches as it looks dis-assembled from the topside already. I'm certainly going to have to read some tutorials or buy some watchmaker repair books..how did you get the bezel and crystal off like that so quickly. (the right tools, I guess??) And HOW did you get your camera to "zoom in" so close the the dial font and still remain clear and very focused?? Very nicely done. I'm still trying to figure out the "M" aligment on the MBW you referred to in another post.
  3. Jack....AND, here's the original offering for the BK WM9 v3. You have most likely already viewed this, but just in case... My link
  4. Jack....cetrainly no bearing to the topic but I found the entire original offering for the BK WM9 v2 interesting. Have a look....... My link
  5. Home cd....thought you may find this interesting....I certainly did My link
  6. ooops...you're right Jack...of course. I caught the price and copied the link...400.00+ for rep parts??? Ouch. Here's what I was telling you about the date mag size between the MBW LV and the WM9 v2
  7. Heya Capt. That's some good info. Thanks for posting. My link Try these guys for your bezel assembly. I stumbled acrossed these while searching to confirm the Rolex 315-16800-81 bezel is genuine.
  8. The reviews done by member By-tor on the RWI and RG forums have some VERY nice pics of both the v2 and v3 versions, with the v3, of course, being KING. Comparing to a gen isn't something I've afforded the luxury of being able to do and based upon how critical some gen owners can get when comparing the reps and the gens side by side, I can't be certain if mine would be considered a minor or drastic bump where the bezel meets the crystal. I would call it close to 1/32 of an inch and minor as the crystal seems to have a slight outward taper towards the bezel at the most outer edge of it's diameter. The sides of the case and clasp on mine are polished, everything else has a brushed finish. What I've found on the v2 that would indicate "attention to detail" is that there doesn't seem to be any drastically different in comparing it to pictures of a gen sub of that era. "F" serial number on the v2 would suggest that it replicates the gens manufactered between mid 2003 through early 2005 when the D series took over.
  9. Somehow your appraisal/review/opinion of the BK WM9 v3 doesn't seem consistant with many others I've read. And I certainly cannot say the same for the BK WM9 v2 that I've recently acquired. The v2 is impressive enough for me to have immediately begin searching (and purchasing..Thnx. cableguy)a gen bezel insert, as well as a gen crown and (possibly) a gen crystal.
  10. Thankx, Max. Sad it gets no wrist time against the Subs .
  11. Agreed. I picked up a Yellow SW v1(correct font dial, re-lumed and Double AR'd) from a member and it's a beauty and a beast. Hasn't gotten any wrist time though, as I'm too used to the 40mm Subs. I passed on the gen Pro-dive II band for an extra c-note. Perhaps I should have went for the black rubber gen band as well. CONGRATS.....YOU HAVE AN AWESOME WATCH THERE!!
  12. Man, I had 5 gallons of shrimp gumbo, 50 lbs of boudin, 50 lbs of Andulle and 20 lbs of smoked pork tasso shipped up here for our wedding party a few years back.... shippingcosts were more than the goods (gumbo has to shipped overmight to remain frozen) Jerry Lees out in BR has the best boudin I've ever ate in my life.
  13. If you can get to LaPlace, there's a place called Jacobs Andouille right there on Airline cooming in from Kenner....BEST Andouille, boudin, and gumbo ya ever tasted.

    BK WM9 V2

I recently acquired one of these myself (along with a v3) and I think they're great reps. I'm not certain of the weight compared to a gen but that aspect doesn't really concern me. I would, however, like to get lucky enough to locate another one for a gift idea I've came up with. Enjoy the v2....it's a very good sub rep. Congrats on your getting one.
  15. Sticking to the trusted sellers is the way to go. I got lucky in my research and found a site that has amazing quality and accuracy with literally thousands of happy repeat customers (I'm most likely soon to be one too)but I can't find this guy on any trusted dealer lists in any of the rep forums. When I asked him why he wasn't offering his items in any of the rep forum sites (and he IS familiar with them ALL) his explaination was quite logical and made alot of sense.(to me anyway) Best of luck in your quest for your "perfect" watch. There are certainly alot of of them out there to chose from. I'm partial to the Rollies so naturally I'm sticking with BK (the KING). VERY pleased with everything I've acquired that came acrossed BK's bench.
  16. For what it's worth, I went for the BK Noob (black)...it arrived Saturday. I unwrapped it, sized it, set it, wound it and haven't taken it off since. VERY nice, VERY accurate (so far) and wears EXTREMELY comfortable. The lume is magnificant, too. FIVE STARS, TWO THUMBS UP for this one. I too am waiting for the BK WM9 v3 to start production.I'm on the list but still went looking and found one (used) to arrive tomorrow. THANKS sixers 610..(RG)
  17. Now THAT is a BEAUTIFUL watch. I would love to have one like this or the Tudor with Blue snowflake dial. VERY nice indeed. Congrats.
  18. Josh and Andrew. Would these guys by chance have anything to do with The Watch Cartel??
  19. I think you may be right. Reliable??
  20. Hey guys, I'm new to the site and am really enjoying it so far. Is there anyone familiar with carl1000. The reason for my question...he's parting with a watch I'm very interested in. Just wonder if one of you guys may know him far, being new and all. Thanks.
