  1. Ubi: THANKS so much for sharing that. Is that rehaut real wokky or is it just the pics?? Again, thank you, my friend.
  2. I myself would rather have a 2836 (Asian or Eta) that beats 28,800 per gen. IMO, a 21,600 mvt in a classic sub is a HUGE tell....seeing the sweeper tick SCREAMS fake...to me anyway.
  3. Beautiful watch, JoJo. Now why couldn't Rolex have made these in a 40-41mm size ??
  4. It looks GREAT, Chi. And thanks for the measurements. You (or anyone else) wouldn't happen to know the exact inside diameter measurement on a gen GMT 17610 retaining ring ??? Hadn't noticed why your EXP sorta looked brighter and cleaner till just now. White hand lume....looks GREAT !!!
  5. I know very little about Tag Heuer but that is one VERY nice looking watch. Can't help but wonder how heavy the users manual on it is. Seems to have a busy busy dial. NICE !!! Good luck and congrats.
  6. I'm impressed. (and way outta my league.)
  7. THANKS guys...that's answered my question perfectly. I've passed on many a watch in the sales threads being under the impression that a 21j usually isn't a 28,800bhp mvt. The way they're building the asian clones so reliable these days I have to wonder why they even bother to put a "choppier" 21j 21,600 mvt. in anything but the vintage low-beat replications....gotta be a cost factor, I'd assume.
  8. The 703 is a 7mm crown. Is the 704 7mm also ??
  9. And I thought I was the only one.......LOL.
  10. Agreed. The BK WM9 with some gen mods will satisfy me where the 16610 is concerned..won't have to buy the gen. with these beauties. If they would just come out with a WM9 quality 16710 I would be able to have BK put on some gen parts and I wouldn't have to be looking at the gens. Reps certainly have come a long way.
  11. Looking VERY good, my friend. Also have to agree, the BK/WM9's are AWESOME and at the top of the pack. Wear it well.
  12. MBW's seem to be well known and highly regarded for Franken modding. Is anyone familiar with the MBW GMT II ? I can't say that I recall having ever heard/read mention on them. Anyone ?? If so, they should be able to accept gen parts much like the WM9 can, yes ??
  13. I would if I could but she's not really familiar with watches and part numbers so that wouldn't work for me. And it was a forum member here I believe that hit the nail on the head in saying......"remember, it's the journey, not the destination. How true that is.
  14. Well said. Ain't that the truth. My wife has even pointed that out to me by saying that "with all the money you're spending and have spent on fake watches and your gen parts you could have already HAD a real one". I do believe she's right, though I refuse to sit down and actually crunch the numbers..I most likely don't wanna know.
  15. If you ever want to have a go at building a 1:1 gen like (WM9 quality or better) 16710 GMT II, I'd like to be on the list. As for "compulsive buying"....it's an addiction. I constantly find myself scouring the internet for 16610 watches/parts/etc. knowing that I really have no need for them. But if there isn't any plan "in the works" by anyone to build a gen 16710 or 16760, I will end up compulsively purchasing the gen. though I WON'T do that more than once.
  16. Do any of you Breitling experts know whether or not the Headwind has been repped ??
  17. A gen or gen size bezel will NOT fit the WM9 retaining ring. You will need to start there for the swap. If the bezel assembly you're speaking of comes with a retaining ring, you're all set. Speaking from experience (actually by mistake) a utility knive razor blade will not only fit in between the case and the retaining ring, it will pop the ring out of the case. Of course, the way BK presses the cystals in, it's not going to come out of the ring easily. At least not without the proper tools or the knowledge on "how to"...both of which I lack.
  18. You gentlemen do take this very seriously. Wow...that's impressive.
  19. Magagne and Sneed...thanks for "sort of" clearing that up for me. I'm basically a Rolex Guy and was under the impression that 99% of the Rollie Reps offered with a 21j mvt aren't going to employ a 28.800 mvt. SO, if it says 21j mvt but does NOT specify or add that its a 28.8 then it's most likely the 21,600??
  20. Are all 21j mvts 21,600 or are they making 21j 28,000 mvts ???
  21. Turn the crown toward you (CCW) until you feel it "pop out" on it's own. THEN begin to turn it away from you (CW) to manually wind it up. If the date or time starts adjusting when you start turning, push the crown back in, you've pulled it out. And 15 minutes +/- per 24hr ?? That's terrible !!! The TS promo 16610's I purchased for gifts were within 6-8 seconds per 24hr. Hope this helps.
  22. How about fitting a gen crystal in a Transformer ?? Can it be done??
  23. I've done a tad bit of "bending" on the Transformer bezel tensions wires. I don't have any problems with them being ...per say..."loose"...but bi-directional and no clicks...well....that's not good...to me anyway.
