  1. While looking around, I noticed this one...(though not really what I'm after) gen or rep..??? http://cgi.ebay.com/TAG-Heuer-Chronometer-200m-mens-swiss-watch-new-/180624703293?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2a0e123f3d
  2. importr....have you ever purchased from watches.co.uk ?? I've recently been looking closer at the Tag WJF2010, 2011 and 2050 as well as the new Tag Link Chronometer.....I have to admit I'm not nearly as "up to speed" on spotting Tag Replicas vs gens as I like to think I am with Rolex.
  3. If it were me, I'd stay away from that one for the simple fact that the clarity of the listing pics is terrible. It's just my opinion that the seller of a watch like this should/would take the time to offer high-res images. And no mention at all off paperwork or being 100% Authentic or Genuine. I may be wrong but that's my opinion. Good luck, my friend. DR
  4. I've been a RolexFan for years. I've got a gen Tag 6000 WH1151-K1. Nice but it's a quartz. I'm now looking for the Tag Heuer WJF2050 Day Date. They don't have a rep out for that model.I have to say I like the looks (and the price) of the Tag WJF over the Rolex Day Date II.
  5. Depends on how much you paid for it. I'd say if you gave over 70.00 you could have done better. Smoother second hand..??? 2836 28,800 bph is what you want for that "gen like" smooth sweep.
  6. That is a very crappy looking Sub. And no, you really can't advertise a rep on CL, not by their rules anyway. Of course they can't be expected to monitor every listing, so many slip in under the radar.
  7. I realize this is a very old Thread but the poster never came back to confirm the answer. I'm far from a pro but I'm going with the left as being the gen...bezel font is thinner and cleaner and the gold outlining of the dial markers at 6, 9 and 12 are what I have based my decision on.
  8. sneed12....some pics of your "handy work" would be nice to see, my friend.
  9. "Available" being the key word there...I wouldn't exactly say the WM9 Subs are "a thing of the past"...and I'm guessing the ones that own them wouldn't either. But give BK some time and my money is on the fact that he will eventually offer a Sub that tops them all. He simply strikes me as being that kinda guy.
  10. Parts do look great. How's the build comming along???
  11. Isn't that the truth. Is there any way to determine which size tube was used simply by the version of the rep or does the back and the crown have to be removed to physically get the dimensions??
  12. Congrats. They do indeed look fantastic. Wear them in good health, my friend.
  13. While I too have chosen the V3 for my "Franken" Sub, I have to admit the SEL fit on BK's newest TW Sub is great. And much better than the other v3 and v2's I've owned.(except for the most recent one I traded..that one was near perfect) It appears that the fit is a "luck of the draw". Regardless if the solid mid links bracelet is an immediate tell or not (personally it wouldn't bother me much) I must say I would rather a nice tight gen-like SEL fit with incorrect solid links than the correct hollow mid links with a very noticable, terrible fitting SEL. V3, V2 or V1...it's simply a matter of preferrence as the V3, V2 and V1 are no doubt the best available and the Best ever made.....just my opinion, of course.
  14. All of which can be corrected....how...? Gen clasp, perhaps??
  15. Seems I still have much to learn. The SEL fit leaves much room for improvement but what exactly looks horrible about the clasp?? Please do tell.
  16. I agree with all that's been said regarding this particular Explorer II. And I not only feel lucky for having had it offered to me, I feel a bit "honored" as I feel it is, and will be one day years from now, a piece of rep history, as it has made the "headlines" of the legendary "King of Reviews". I've purchased this watch from Avitt....have a look at the 2nd pic in this Review and what has been said regarding it.....yup...VERY lucky and TRULY honored to have it..Thanks again, Mr. Avitt... Review here
  17. , Not that I know of and certainly not from the origin of this one. I consider myself very lucky (and honored)to have had this particular one offered to me. Thanks for all the kind words regarding it, guys. And thanks to the expert opinions offered in the last "Noob or not" Thread I posted. I certainly do appreciate it. DR
  18. Thanks Cats...I'm certain I'm going to be very pleased with it. And of course, it will have the gen crown/tube in the near future, though I may also have it cleaned/regulated and superlumed at that time and then enjoy it for years.
  19. I have to agree with Panerai. This does indeed look to be the Best way to go at the moment...and naturally we owe this BEAUTIFUL 16610 to the Rolex King...Mr. BK. @chefcook- did yours come without the rehaut engraved or did you remove the engraving yourself ??
  20. I'm taking you expert opinion on that, my friend. I've "went off and got it".
  21. I'm still searching for the discontinued Noob Factory Black Exp. II. Is this the one I'm seeking?? Have a look and let me know what you think.
  22. I always enjoy reading and learning things. What exactly is it about this version that puts it bettering the V3 ?? Besides, of course that it is still in production and readily available ??
  23. Congrats, my friend. It looks GREAT. Did yours come without the engraved rehaut or did you sand that off yourself?? And how difficult was the crystal gasket and crystal to put back in?
