  1. I'm looking to go with a gen crown on the GMT II and Explorer II. Seems I recall reading that while the correct gen crown is the 24-603 6mm, some say it's actually too small and have used something else though I don't recall what that "something else" was. Anyone know which it is for the 16570 and the 16760 Exp II and GMT II. Thanks guys.
  2. I wasn't implying I felt the watch was being "slammed"...not at all, my friend. I just figured I would gain some useful facts/info/opinions on it prior to it actually being shipped and being committed to buying it. If it helps in any way to better determine origin, quality, etc., the serial number on the opposite side is F168589. I could also use opinions on what would be considered a good price for the watch. Thanks for all the input/info/opinions so far guy. It IS greatly appreciated. DR
  3. No doubt there is a HUGE difference in the exp II pics I've posted and the GMT II Transformer. I have a referrence model on my wrist,,,THAT'S gonna help...THANKS GUYS.....hate to admit how "clueless" I actually was and you have saved me a good bit of money...I wasn't sure...and wanted to be...and now I know how very little I actually knew of the Noob and the exp II.....THANKS !!!!!
  4. Thanks for the info on bezel engravings. Keep the info comming guys. Though thanks to all that have had input I'm now fairly certain I won't get stuck with a "I thought it was a Noob" Noob. Now if I can just FIND someone selling one.
  5. This actually belonged to another member who bought it new a few years back and never did anything with it...unsized, unworn and unmodded. I'm not exactly certain of the different "variation" though this is said to be a MBW, not a MBK. Perhaps you're suggesting they're the same ??
  6. I have to admit, I've just held the Transformer up in the light and at every angle possible I simply can't get the rehaut to look like the one in the pics I've posted. I'm not sure why I hadn't considered using it for a "referrence point" on comparison. And having done so I see many differences in the two, all which have already been mentioned..hadn't noticed the crown sitting that low in the case till it was mentioned, though...GOOD EYE...though I admit I fail to see how the dial on this looks horrible Dizzy....what are you referring to.?? Thanks again for all the info/input guys.
  7. Congrats, my friend. It looks great .
  8. Thanks By-Tor....THAT'S the kind of knowledge I'm seeking. So it's safe to say that if any other EXP II'sI look at do not have the same look to the crystal ring and the same look to the rehaut as the BK Transformer GMT II, then they're likely not the Noob Factory version I'm needing??
  9. I gotta say I see no difference in the rehaut slope of your than the slope of the one in the pics I posted. better lighting, better sphoto skills...yes...difference in slope...I don't see it.
  10. I'm beginning to see how the lack of photography skills and various lighting sources can take a perfectly sloped and shiny rehaut and give it a seriously "wokky" looking rehaut.
  11. I have to agree Dizzy...If By-tor and Star69 say it's not a Noob then it's not a Noob. I'm inquiring as to the "tells" that it's not so that I may better my ability to point these out myself. It seems this is isn't the first one that's being shown as a Noob because it was sold to the buyer as one. (and IMO looks to be a VERY nice EXP II.) So my search continues and thanks for all the info guys.
  12. Indeed....as I watched from the shadows on that one....I could see the cyclops favoring the right side of the crystal...which is the purpose of this thread...2,3,4,5 pairs of "experienced" eyes are better than 1 not so experienced pair....watch...ask....listen....learn.
  13. THANKS guys. I do appreciate your taking the time to look this over for me. I'm needing the Noob Factory only and need to be certain the one I find and purchase is in fact the one I'm after. So.............my search continues. Thanks again.
  14. It's not a M as there is no rehaut engraving. Though I failed to inquire as to what series this replicates. Here are a few pics of it. Thoughts/opinions please.
  15. And you can determine this ...how ?
  16. I've been seeking the discontinued Noob Factory EXP II. I'm told this is the one I'm looking for. Trained eyes needed,,Noob or not.
  17. That looks to be perfectly aligned rehaut engraving. Not only does the letters align at 3, 9 and 12 the 6 evenly splits the serial number. I've had a few bezels off myself. You're saying your Noob EXP II bezel pops off and is easy to change/replace?? How is the bezel fixed to the case ring (crystal ring)?? If I'm not mistaken aren't the Explorer bezels fixed and do not rotate???
  18. Thanks Alligoat...but only the Noob Explorer II will work.
  19. Thanks for all the info, guys. I've contacted BK...no go.Reg is in Bankok at the moment and I'm all set on a MBW (16610) I will see what Hont is capable of doing...may I ask who Mary is ??? I'm not really familiar with all the dealers....but I will say this. Connie at King Watches is a very honost dealer. I emailed her regarding my needs and while she has a GREAT looking Black EXP II, it simply doesn't have the dimensions I'm needing and she told me as much...instead of still trying to sell me one. Dizzy...you seem to know the exact EXP II I need. There ARE lots of great looking ones out there but I need "that" Noob for a planned project...it's the only one that has the dimesions under the bezel that I need. Otherwise, Ms. Connie would have my money as soon as the CNY Holidays are over. IF ANYONE RUNS ACROSSED A "GOOD" NOOB FACTORY BLACK EXP II PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thanks guys.
  20. I'm curious...while most of us know that a couple members can still source the MBW's, does anyone know of a source to the discontinued Noob Factory Rollie reps. I know they both come from very different areas but if the MBW's can still be had, perhaps (somehow) the Noobs can too. I'm specifically seeking a Black EXP II 16570. Any help/info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
  21. Pan...you're probably right about that, my friend. While I can't quite picture myself wearing the new Ceramics and maxi dial styles( I've tried them ) that does not change the fact that I actually do find them to be VERY nice looking watches.
  22. Sorry to admit I can't...but the "bling" of the Ceramic models is a love or hate thing, I guess. Gotta admit it "would" be very pretty..........
  23. Yup...seems there is MUCH hype for the GMT IIc's. I'm not much on the shiny ceramic bezels and the maxi-dial set up. I'm really interested in the old Black Noob Factory EXP II....who knows, maybe I will get lucky.
  24. A ceramic Pepsi bezel....? OUCH !!
