  1. Wouldn't worry about the unsigned warranty card, I have two gens which have unsigne dwarranty cards. Agree with what docblack said above. If I had $800 to spend on a gen/reps I'd prob go for that.
  2. Mine too, different to every other watch I have so am thinking about getting it! WOuld love to see some photos of one other than the dealer photos.
  3. Alternate mine between some blue python and brown gator depending what I'm wearing at the time, am in the market for a black strap for it also.....
  4. Silix sells an older style riveted bracelet in the "straps" section of his main site!!
  5. I got the one pictured above, only ordered it about 4 days ago, arrived in UK today, think I'm gonna order one of the others too. Bracelet is not too good but watch is pretty good for the price/novely item. Badly needs aged to look its genuine age. Removed the pearl as thats the biggest give away. Have put it on a nato strap, have an old genuine 60s type rolex bracelet which I am going to see fits.
  6. Have just received one of these, have spent the last hour vandalising it so it looks ages, my girlfriend thinks I've lost the plot. Have told her I'm going to tie it to the back of the car and go for a drive with it dragging on the ground. Would also like to know where I can get an appropriate bezel insert for it, doesn't have to be to be accurate to the model just of the period.
  7. I used 2mm spring bars on this strap as I found with the 1.8mm ones the strap would be fine for a while and then the strap woul dstart "popping" out. It was difficult to get the 2mm bars through. What I did is held the strap in a vice( using a couple cloths and some wood to grip it) and tapped a nail with a diameter of about 1.8-1.9mm through the hole. I then pulled the nail back out, ran a small amount of washing up liquid down th ehole and gently tapped in the 2mm spring bars. The strap is now very securely against the edge of the watch.
  8. I'm right handed but wear a watch on my right wrist. Reason is thet I was running down a path when I was a kid and tripped and put my left arm through a greenhouse window which cut all my left arm. I therefore had to wear my watch on my right wrist until my left healed but got into habit of putting my watch on the right wrist and its been worn there ever since!
  9. Model: UPO ETA(apparantly!) Size: 45mm Seller: Andrew Rain: Yes, no leaks or mist Shower: Yes, no leaks or mist Pool/Ocean 3 meter/10 feet: Yes Yey! Was so nervous first few times with it but no guts no glory!!!
  10. There was a guide by a well known magician in the Daily Mail, a UK newspaper the otherday on the finger/hand techniques for removing a watch with a buckle from someones wrist as used in the Bush incident. Bet he wears a deployant clasp from now on!
  11. If you fancy something a tiny bit more practical than an atom but still has go kart like handling and is definately a fun summer car may I suggest a Lotus Elise?
  12. Can any of you guys help me. I'm wondering who has the best rep of this watch? Watch
  13. Nope, seems to search ok!!!
  14. Uk site opens up ok for me!!!
  15. Pugwash, it was sunny and 26 degrees in Glasgow until you poste dthose pics. Now its raining!
  16. A little quartz today ( :yucky: -I'll get me coat!!) while my other Seamaster is away getting lubricated up!
  17. I'd like to know if anyone has a good source of these as well. Have looked at the aftermarket bezel suppliers on ebay and none of them are very good. Currently using a replacement one which looks like a zit after the original made a run for it!!
  18. Its usually just a spring bar, the same as would attach the strap to the watch. Just compress it with a small screwdriver and the buckle should pop of the same way you would remove a strap/bracelet from the watch.
  19. A little 2 tone on Bob today I think!!
  20. I've got 18cm wrists and can handle a 44mm PAM ok. I also have a Planet Ocean 45mm and think that is my limit size wise. The planet ocean seem sto wear bigger, if you know what I mean. I think with the bigger watches like this it helps if you don't wear the strap really tight so it can slid eup and down your wrist a couple of inches.
  21. Two words for you:- Nato Strap
  22. I too have a strap from them. It was the first PAM strap I bought that didn't come with a watch. I like the quality of them but have since bought straps from elsewhere that are superior. When I bought mine the postage wasn't as dear. the strap i have is a mid tan cloured strap and suits well with the PAM036, it is very thick and chunky and I find to be a good "beater" strap. It is however a magnet for dirt!
  23. Never had any issues at all with delivery in UK!!!
