  1. I'm curious about this..how many of our members here have dials with 'Spider webs' patterns? I understand that this only happens on Transitional models during the 80s when Rolex went from matte to glossy dials.

I read also that it applies to a wide range of their popular models like the Sub 16610, Sea-Dweller 16600 and GMT Master 16750, just to name a few..

if you own such a dial or have a franken or gen with this dial, let's see some pictures..it would be interesting to see how the various patterns are since each dial is as unique as a snowflake..

    :)

  2. @ Ry: Well i got a 1655 with 2836-2 that's been blessed by the hands of Spinmaster...slightly enlarged lug holes..have the rafflestime sterile milsub caseback and gmt hands...incoming a set of gen spec spring bars and Clark 25-116..bidding on a gen dial as well..about to purchase a WSO bezel assembly..

    so pretty much almost everything..

the gen is at a price i cant say no to...

  3. Finally some form of closure to this open-ended question..not a very happy ending to say the least but hopefully the new owner can bring wm9 back to its glory days..

that should at least give its founders joy and pride in the afterlife..
