  1. BTW, is it true the 4th gen is discontinued? If so it might be interesting for this guide as well. Could somebody confirm, please.
  2. Hot damn, Lani! I just thought about reducing my Brreitling collection close to zero and now you bring up this YELLOW faced Seawolf! Aargh, I love this hobby. Exceptional pics, as always. How about some wristies?
  3. I wish I could join you guys, really. You will have a GREAT time I'm sure, you make sure to have a drink on Yello and me. I'll be on the next one for sure!
  4. Thanks mate, this really helped me a lot. I should've remembered about our chats earlier... Cheers mate!
  5. Hey all, I am playing with the thought of selling major parts of my collection in order to fund a genuine. Candidats for example are Seawolf "oldskool" titanium, gen dial, aftermarket AR, waterproofed SOH SOSF relumed, gen diverstrap Pam 111G fully customized Carlos Coste Omega Seamaster Chrono 1. batch, aftermarket AR Omega PO 4th gen with gen diver, aftermarket AR The thing is I love 'em all and I don't think I will be able to buy most of them back as they are discontinued and/or pretty modified. But after I got my Ingy Chrono they just don't do it for me anymore. Strange. What do you guys think? Any input appreciated! Thank you.
  6. Not bad. I should get myself a genuine Rolex. Just in case.
  7. 1+ Very nice pictures of a beautiful watch by the way.
  8. Bring your lawyer next time. They might change their opinion. Here in Germany however, a price in a shoppingwindow is just an "inventatio ad offerendum", which basically means an invitation to make an offer. Little chance here.
  9. Just can't get it off my wrist. Happy new year everyone!
  10. If there would be an open source for genuine parts, we would all have them. They're hard to come by. Sometimes a gen dial shows up on the bay or it is for sale here. If you do make a search you could also get to know certain webpages that sell parts... Read around, learn and enjoy. Welcome on RWG.cc!
  11. Simply awesome my friend! Your Rolex collection is the nicest I've ever seen (in person)!
  12. Sweet one mate! This is what its all about! Here's my franken Avenger Seawolf.
  13. You're definately right, on the web presence of concord it is explained as the "indication of the balance amplitude". Now I wonder why this is called "gravity"?
  14. Sweeeeet one Corgi. Another IWC, my Franken Slevin: Genuine dial, hands, bezel, clasp and IWC Franken 7750 Chronometre (some parts replaced by another IWC 7750).
  15. WOW, now this is one impressive franken collection, Dluddy! I especially admire your Pams! My other IWC franken: Genuine dial, datewheels, aftermarket AR and ETA 7750. Let's see some more!
  16. This watch is constructed to widthstand forces. The "trust-index" is supposed to show what forces are working on the watch movement, afaik.
  17. No, probably not. It is an interesting watch, but it wouldn't be my choice even if I had the bucks.
  18. Hey guys, this topic is dedicated to all your most loved custumized or modified replicas. Please post your favourite picture of your franken watches here and explain what has been done to it. This can be old or new eyecandy, main criterion is that your franken has at least one genuine (not aftermarket) part build in. I think there are soo many beautiful and unique watches among us collectors and these deserve their own topic, what do you think? I will start with my latest acquisition, my "Frankenstein's Monster" Modifications: genuine dial, hands, genuine IWC cal. 79350 and aftermarket AR. Looking forward to see many unique watches. This is what our hobby is about, right?
  19. Except the fact that they sometimes have a spring-issue which makes them run way too fast. It can be solved by knocking them gently on a table after they run out.
  20. Thanks guys, the movement fix was simple, but pretty expensive. I think it was worth it, though.
