  1. I dig your black SMP, it is quickly overtaking the Blue version in my eyes...and nice collection!
  2. Wow! I can't even get my dog to poo outside!
  3. I'm with you Bill, but I need to locate one on the cheap, the ole rep budget is getting a little thin!
  4. I have to agree with SAM174, I would attribute the variation in flaws to to variations in production standards and sources. The few people who inhabit our little boards are the only rep buyers who obsess about all these little differences. To 99% of the general public, sweep seconds=GEN...
  5. Nice collection! When I was in college my idea of a good watch was Seiko, I thought Omega was a sorority. BTW your camera phone takes pics that beat my 7mp camera!
  6. Thanks for the feedback guys, I guess I will have to live with what I have. Bill, that is interesting about the water resistance. I would be curious about what The Zigmeister has to say.
  7. So I bought this WM Vintage 1675 GMT from another member, I paid a pretty penny, and before you all start, I know the WM/MBW GMT has quite a few faults. I just love my MBW DRSD so much I really wanted to feel the same love for a vintage GMT. However, when I was trying to dig up some more details on the WM 1675, I didn't find much here, on the TRC, RWG I or RWI. So after quite a bit of debate, I went ahead and took the plunge. I was prepared to drill the lugs, switch out the bracelet and live with the case size. I also planned to vintagize the case and maybe even try crownguard milling. The dial looked great, as it had already been modded for the previous owner. So today I started to do work on some of my mods and this is what I found: The Movement: I was really hoping for a 2893-2, from my understanding the WM 1675 would have a 2893. Needless to say when I opened the caseback and saw a 2836-2 staring back at me, I was very disappointed. To be fair the seller told me he didn't know what movement was in the watch, should have been a clue right there, I rolled the dice and lost. The Bezel: I got really puzzled when I popped of the bezel and found this: It was my understanding that the WM 1675 used a sub case (1680?) This is clearly not the set up for any WM/MBW I have ever seen. It is the same set up I have seen in the cheaper CN subs like the Noobmariner. The Clasp: I was already a little suspicous when I looked at the diver extension on the (incorrect) bracelet, it is very different than my 1665. Here is the case: And Bezel: And the whole set up disassembled: So I am hoping somebody can help me out here, is this a WM 1675? I am already kicking myself for shelling out this kind of cash for a non-2893 watch, and to make things worse the GMT hand does not adjust with counterclockwise turns on the date set position. Any help would be appreciated.

  9. I kind of regret selling mine, it was a neat little watch. And nice job on your buildup!
  10. Nice pics V, now I'm going to have to start obssessing more about buckles!
  11. That pretty much sums up my feeling on the subject!
  12. Those are cool, but out of my price range for cufflinks...
  13. Just wait till you start modding! Try Clark on Ebay for a superdome...
  14. Anybody know where to source a vintage? I have been watching Ebay for a while and they are all out of my budget. I would love to pick up one for my WM 1675.
  15. That is the coolest thing I have seen in quite a while!
  16. I have often thought the exact same thing!
