  1. I gotta get 2 parts I know... hour wheel and cannon pinion... hour wheel is HOUR WHEEL, HT 2.49 but what is the proper code of cannon pinion? there is one, CANNON PINION, HT 2.62 will this work? thanks in advance.
  2. I don't sell any of my watches. (gens or reps) but I don't buy many watches, I think about every watch maybe months... and for reps, I don't usually buy the cheapo (or low quality) reps... (railmaster xxl was the only exception) because when the watch is low quality, the desire for keeping it vanishes quickly
  3. nearly no one will get the idea of a wreck looking double red sea dweller is worth $20k... so there is no problem here. but in case if someone asks about your double red and mentions that it is out of your price range, tell them "it is passed to me from granddaddy"
  4. I've completed my fiddy with higher cannon pin but the sources I got the higher cannon pin say "there aren't any left" now... damn I should have get a few instead of 1 when possible... I've asked a few friends here but no one has now... I was planning to upgrade my all pams but no cannon pin where can I get the higher cannon pin / hour wheel for unitas? any suggestions? (you can just PM me if this is against forum rules) thanks.
  5. I will never give over 400 to a watch that has asian movement. although my hublot desire but on the other hand, I will never give around 800-1000to a swiss 7750... not because it is bad, but because it is REPLICA... that's my .02...
  6. thanks for the reply mates... anyway I ordered 2 fiddy dials... my plan was I'd try the first dial by myself. and if anything goes wrong, second dial would be mounted by another watchsmith... I mounted the dial and hands without any problems and no scars, dust on the dial... fiddy is diddy now... BTW, I have all the tools (hand remover, tweezers etc) and some minor experience with this stuff... but... 1. removing movement, removing hands, removing old dial... 2. I checked hands and there are very minor scars and minor oxidation seen (due to they are not painted you know, golden fiddy hands)... 3. I applied sunshine cloth to the hands and scars & oxidation goes, they are like brand new now... 4. then mounting new dial, mounting hands, adjusting hands, made sure they are not bend... mounting the second hand was tricky... I used a verrry thin needle. 5. then removing dust from dial with rodico and dust blower. now everything's perfect with the watch... but; these took some SERIOUS time. and I'd have to check a few times for any dust after finishing the job. the problem with many watchsmiths is clear on my head now; a watchsmith cannot give me his hours and perfect dedication for a lousy $30...
  7. confused does the replica have "Opus Facere", and - "Panerai" between the lugs?
  8. PANERAI is written between the lower lugs on the geunine.
  9. we know 249s from our dealers have wrong dials. if I find a way to remove that "california" from the dial, will the watch be accurate? are there anyone inspected the watch in hand? does the panerai engraving between lugs exist? or other flaws, what are the other flaws? fiddy is my daily beater and omega railmaster XXL is on its way... and now I'm seriously thinking about another huge watch
  10. that swiss made is still seen IMHO you should remove it completely
  11. WOW that's great... that means it will share the straps with my PAMS
  12. thank you for your comments I've ordered one from Josh, hopefully it'll be on my wrist on weekend. btw I'll ask another question: what is the lug width? 22mm? or 20mm?
  13. I gave my fiddy to my watchsmith for canon pin upgrade and replacement of the hands. watch came, it is good but after a close inspection I found the following 2: 1. there is a little scar on the dial... near the center wheel... it is not thick. but let's say a strong hairline... nearly 4-5mm (it is only seen from a certain angle with close inspection, but now since I know it is there, it takes my eye in the first second when I look at the watch...) 2. and there are some dust under the glass, but they are also only seen under desk lamp or very bright direct sun light... I didn't add any photos because it is impossible to show the scar and the dust with photos... somewhat they are invisible on photos but I know they are there, DAMN. I talked my watchsmith and he told me the modifications that are done with hand will always leave some minor imperfections there is no way to avoid this. is it true? and what would you do? would you accept it as is? if I order another dial from my dealer, there is no quarantee it won't gain any scars or dust
  14. railmaster xxl is advertised with "syntetic sapphire" so it is mineral on known dealer sites... are all the same? is there any better railmaster xxl with gen sapphire around? and how is the quality? on the photos it looks good... but I wonder, if it is really good then why it is only $138? is the movement bad? or is there anything bad about the watch overall? pls let me know.
  15. int'l shipment release means, package is released from customs... it should be on fedex vehicle for delivery after that... if it stucks in customs the label should be "bound into the customs" or something like that. this may mean another problem than customs.
  16. I'm also not enjoying the hobby same as before. but maybe a different point of view. I'm not enjoying replicas any more. don't get me wrong, I own 7 very very nice replicas and I love them. and I have got 4 to get more on my list. and I don't think I'll get another replica. my lack of enthusiasm depends not only "replica" thing. for ex. I don't see the point of giving a premium for a titanium 118 when I have a 111 in my collection. same watches, same functions and nearly same look with 111. $350 for replica. or $4000 for geunine. for me, there is other things to do or other kinds watches to buy with this money. I want to get focused on other kinds of watches. in replicas. it is all same. there are a few movements on replicas... eta, unitas or 7750. maybe lemania. anything more? and different watches with same movements. that doesn't make me excited any more. this thing started when I touched, weared and inspected a geunine IWC Big Pilot... so after getting that 4 other replica watches in my list. replica line will be history for me. I won't add anything more. I'll focus on geunine brands that I can afford, and vintage pocket watches.
  17. I sold mine because dial had problems. (deformations on the dial edge) it was possible to get an exchange dial but I don't like the idea of removing hands, replacing dial. so mine went... it is an hefty and classy piece, I'll buy an ingy again if the short hands and wrong font are updated.
  18. I'm looking for an alarm watch to add the collection. mechanical of course, no quartz inspected bellomatics, but they just don't do for me. I was planning to get a russian poljot, but I couldn't find a sharp looking one BTW, I'm a panerai guy. so bigger is better... replica or gen. doesn't matter. but I won't spend more than a few hundred bucks. so let's here your suggestions for a mechanical alarm watch. photos would be much appriciated if possible. thanks.
  19. no offense mates. I think tourbillon is asking the "real" motivation behind these modifications... I also wonder that too... here is my analogy: you buy a 1600cc 110HP cheap car and spend money for several modifications for it to go faster... yeah, it will go faster OK. but whatever you do it is still a 1600cc cheap car, you will never get the performance/feel/attitude of an expensive 3000cc 260HP car. no way... so why are you wasting your money and what is your motivation? a very simple question. (of course, it's your money, I don't care I just wonder... again take no offense) I have many replicas and gens. I accept replicas are replicas, whatever I do. so I don't modify my reps. I respect others who do though. and also I'm not against spending money on modifications, I bought a vintage Citizen cricket alarm watch which is not running well and adequate overall condition for $120. spend $250 for restoring it. it is now thickin'. but I'd never spend $250 for a replica to look more identical to gens.
  20. I'd like to ask a question... what happens under this situation: 1. if I buy a watch from airport tax free... 2. and if I put it on my wrist... what happens? I've never bought any watch from abroad, but I've gone abroad several times, no customs controled the watch on my wrist. nor anybody asked any questions about the watch on my wrist.
  21. quality is other subject. geuninity is other a franken watch may be better than a gen but it is still a frankie... even if you mix geunine parts, it is still a frankie... for example you have a gen rolex seadweller. find a gen yacht master dial and mount it on your sea-dweller... your watch is not a sea-dweller any more... it is a franken watch. only acceptable case is, if you change some parts in the movement for repair... that won't do anything to geuninity of the watch. just my 2cents.
  22. please give a 20seconds and check the paypal account of the sellers when you pay to them 1000+ transactions... (I'm not talking about especially someone. I mean every seller who is known among the community) there are very few guys around the replica world who "know" or "care" about horology, quality, etc. (how many people are there around replica forums who are active? 25? 50? 100? maybe 200... that's all ) %80 or %90 or %95 of the people buying these watches don't know anything about watches! nor they want to know... and they don't need to know... they just want to get a "golden rolex" or a "watch with real diamonds"... and they can't tell the difference between a $100 asian movt fiddy and $100.000 geunine 203... let alone judge the other small details... be absolutely sure that %99.9999 of the people you meet in the wild don't care/understand if your so-loved panerai has a true higher cannon pin... it is only a self satisfaction... so the dealers won't try to satisfy the small amount of fellow members who are aware of what's happening... they don't care to make you happy, because they have a huuuuge bunch of ignorant customers... so don't waste your breath... that's my 2 cents.
  23. my talking was based on the previous version. big second hand place, less hefty bezel, etc. this one is surely much better.
  24. first of all, I hadn't seen this version man this looks awesome... -- I talked with my supplier (you also know him of course ) and he told me to wait for a month. a new upgraded 187 is comming on its way and he told me the falling markers problem will be solved with that version... so I made my decision and will go for a 187. luv at first sight. this 243 is another killa though. thanks for your all comments mates
