  1. I assume you already got it, but if not maybe the pics in here would help http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...p;hl=chanel+j12
  2. As did I... and it had problems and he promised replacement parts... now I think I know why I haven't been getting responses to PMs and mails... sorry to see him go and it's kinda apisser that the result is I my only transaction with him will probably end up a flawed one...
  3. So I will bite TTK... since it's pretty pointless to say something like that if you aren't ready to spill beans... what's the dil'yo?
  4. According to Josh the pricier one goes through a higher quality finishing process>
  5. Do not say something like: "Dealer X sends all his packages from XXXX address in a yellow and purple box with "super HQ device" tape all over it and declares it as "Broken radio $10". That would be bad. But to say "someone is sending me a rep from Europe" is pretty harmless if you ask me... I doubt a memo will go out to all international ports for extra vigilant checks of all packages from Europe in hopes of catching this watch...
  6. Airmail to China can take for frigging ever... advice if sending back again: Ask dealer how he wants it sent back. Ask if they will pay shipping back or at least credit you that amount on your next purchase. Most likely send registered mail. Costs about $10 more and isn't really a tracking number, but it's better than nothing. Send proof of registered mail to dealer.
  7. Best of luck... Texas is one of the known hot spots for customs seizing reps... but then again most reps are comming in from China so comming from Europe may be your saving grace...
  8. Mine just went out on me... got an email, hopped on the page to read it and saw the popup, but when I clicked my messages, error and I can't get the popup again either...
  9. Looks like they forgot to put the crystal in your Hercules...
  10. I think that is what he is saying... or rather "for the price, why do you mod your watch?" As in return on investment is super low... you got a good ROI on the initial purchase, why decrease that significantly (ie 200% of original cost for 3% improvement)?
  11. As soon as I get one of those new 1/20 second quartz chrono's I will be doing just that!
  12. While some of those ideas are indeed novel, this one strikes me as odd... wouldn't this be the perfect time to just use the chrono for what it's made for... a stopwatch?
  13. Noroo I must ask... after that near miss with the first, why did you go drop $900 on this one without checking it out first?
  14. Really? Wow... gotta be a blow to some gen collectors out there...
  15. Stang - your logic sounds good but it's flawed... it leans the wrong way to solve the problem. What is to keep people from buying from scam sites? Our forum. What are we not here to support? Leaning towards the practices of scam sites, because that's just a slippery slope. Harmless little fibs get more and more substantial until they become outright lies and the problem is they are only a step worse than the previous step so they can't be that bad right? Look up the slippery slope argument, it's a well known logical falacy. Essentially your argument amounts to: Rather than stop man A from slightly beating his girlfriend, we should be happy he is not like man B who throttles his girlfriend on a daily baises. We are very lucky to have our excellent dealers here, and they do indeed treat us to some oustanding service in many categories. But they are peopel and are fallable as are all people... we all push and test boundaries on a regular basis, and that's why it's always important to remind each other where the line is and when toeing it becomes a full foot over.
  16. I agree it's good he wants word out there... there is always the minute possibility he sent you hand picked samples or something to make it look better than it is, but I don't think there is anyway around that...
  17. While I kind of am sorry you have to pay for it, I think that's really best as it does keep things more impartial...
  18. Yes that is 22mm PO Bracelet stuck onto a Navi. Don't have an SS Navi bracelet so thought I would stick it on there and see how it struck me... I actually really like the look... sadly it doesn't fit quite right I think that will have to be left to the imagination unless someone wants to get creative with shaping the end links... what's not shown in my pciture is sadly that the curvatrue and fit of the PO bracelet does not fit the Navi and leaves a significant gap... thus if you were to reverse the situation, navi bracelet on PO I think the fit would be too tight...
  19. Actually I kind of like it, so maybe what's right?
  20. Good stuff... also intersting (and if anyone has a more recent link that would probably be great): http://www.ftc.gov/opp/jointvent/madeusa/ftp/usa/047.txt Also interesting... http://www.industrialnewsupdate.com/news/m...s_made_watc.php
  21. Something tells me with those prices and that selection there is no way he ships from US... however I have my fingers crossed... my and customs... we don't get along so well...
  22. Buying watches for the girl next door huh? Don't let the wifey catch ya I beleive just like some people have higher acid sweat, some people have a propencity to hold magnetic or static charges and these may effect delicate electronics around them.
  23. I think this very well might be Trustperfectyclones... looks nice... very professional... interesting it seems some of the prices actually http://brand9avenue.com/catalog/product_in...roducts_id=1163 http://brand9avenue.com/catalog/product_in...roducts_id=1102 And of course the ever popular planet ocean for even less than the Replicast promotion price... http://brand9avenue.com/catalog/product_in...roducts_id=1163 Looks good... nice site, lower prices...
