PS. A true Superdome really changes the look of the watch.  Still have my original T19 on mine, too. 

The only thing i ever use down in that area is the low fuel indicator.

Actually, I totally agree with you that the low fuel indicator is probably the only gauge that really matters!  This car is meant to really be driven!

What is odd is that he sold the watch already in a previous auction.  And he refunded the money to the first buyer after the watch was declared a fake by an Audemar AD. Why would he attempt to sell it again after providing a refund?

If you use a Momo or Nardi or other aftermarket steering wheel, you need to tilt the gauges in order to see them.  Or at least, to see the crucial parts of the gauges. Very common btw.

So for air-cooled: I can see engine temp, oil pressure, HWY speeds.  I know when to shift by sound or by RPM needle on top at 12 o'clock position (quick glance).

The Volcano in person is a dud. Nothing about it matches nor does it have any design harmony.  Of course, my opinion.

I own the Lava.  It is classic in color scheme, very much like the 70s/80s Orfina/IWC Porsche Design.

I'm wearing my mid-60s 1675 today.  I've owned this one for several decades and it's my first (worthy) watch that I ever owned.

I was interested in the various homages out there... Took me a long time to find the real thing in stellar condition.  It was worth the wait

They are both great.  The Nautilus with bracelet is terrific, but the strap option version needs work (you need an OEM strap and you need to mod the lugs to fit the OEM strap).

I like them both very much!  Personally, I think I enjoy my Rosegold Nautilus with OEM strap the most.  But that's just me.  And yes, my mind changes often so my comment here is frankly useless haha!

If that doesn't work... Might I suggest some desiccant in a pouch of sorts; placed in a small box with the watch with the crown unscrewed for a couple of days.

I've taken this watch all over the world numerous times since slapping it on my wrist sometime in '91 or '92?

In any event, this is still my favorite out of all the watches I've ever owned (rep & OEM).

Wow, what was the name of that tank thing in the background?  I had one and I recall it had a keypad that you could program its moves!

Bringing TRC back to life is an intriguing concept.  Not sure if it is entirely the right solution though seeing as TRC is reputedly known as an online archive resource library.

Perhaps something similar but still wholly unique like TNRC aka "The New Replica Collective"?
