Thanks Chris, it was actually your pilot watch with your daughters name engraved on the movement that made me decide to get going organising this one. I am also trying to get a blue croc strap to really bring out the hands. Im normally a diver/sports watch guy but really enjoyong this one.

Yea I have heard players say that but I have also heard them say rugby is physically harder. It does not really matter as everyone thinks the sport that they follow is better, I live in one of the most league oriented cities there is and have been to a few state of origin games but I have played rugby since I was 6 so obviously prefer it. Back to the wc, I am surprised how poor England and Ireland played against much lower rated sides and to a lesser extent Wales and Scotland. Ireland are making hard on themselves now, as I am sure for and against points will be important in determining who goes through in that pool.

If it was me I would get the Sea Hawk. I have always loved the case design and it has an in house movement, plus I like the fact that it is quite rare.

And another keeper for your collection! I have a similarly modded smp I wouldn't consider parting with, congrats!

Thanks all, @ Ken Tourby can have them put together for next to nothing, much better value to me than a rep, especially with their prices lately. @dadog Yea I remember FF I pretty sure his parts were from Tourby also... although with a solid gold Dornblueth & Sohn case and a Benzinger movement.

Thanks I am really happy with it, I really like the blued hands, screws and crown wheel... of course being fascinated with mechanical watch movements since I was a child I could look at the back all day. Here is another pic with the alternate bezel, kind of gives it a Chronoswiss look.

Excellent post and well researched review I have the same one and agree with you and Jeff on the build quality of this rep, they really are very good.

Originally the idea was to try and build my own dressy classy watch due to my collections abundance of sports models. As I started looking into sourcing high quality parts it soon became apparent that Tourby could supply all I would need with his Swiss and German parts. Anyway here is how it turned out What do you reckon? I like it
