183 on a HK Tan.

Hey Doc, I would be interested to see what kind of set up they use, mine also sits pretty well mid click also. Its not some thing that bothered me and at this stage wont be pulling mine apart, was just thinking out loud.
Thanks for the info

1665 most of this weekend, have a good one!

I was wondering if anyone has removed the bezel?
I want to know the set up of the spring, I was thinking if it was a similar set up to most omega bezels couldn't we just shorten the spring to get the bezel to line up on 12?

Heres some more pics this time on a Europelli bomber jacket.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
@docblackrock
Yea its a 1942, I have not done anything to it though I did leave it out in the back yard for a week when I first got it.
Another strap that gets a great patina is the gabo ones, they start off quite pale but darken over time (will look great with a pvd) I should have some pics of before and after if you want.
@Finepics
Thanks might give it a go.

Heres some pics of my 187 on a mf strap, these are a very nice chunky piece!

Nice link Doc, thanks.

Bazz, where did you get that strap?!?!
Hey leitztozeiss, its a europelli bomber jacket, I think he sold out a good while ago but he has a distressed lambskin strap which is similar.

Wow. I really like that GMT auto! What is the name of the band on it Bazz? This thread is going to cost me money.
Its a Europelli cordovan 24x22mm in caramel, a very nice strap.

@ avitt
The bracelet is from a old abay sub I picked up about two years ago on trc that was broken, so it has been used for parts and practice. I know alot of people dont like the hollow bracelets but I like it on this one, feels very well balanced.
I have been thinking about redoing the case like yours as I really like the rounded edges.
Another pic

For the love of god some one make a decent ap ro chrono! please
-
Thanks for the nice comments guys, it has gen insert, t39 sd, crown and tube. I have drilled out the lug holes, did a little work on the crown guards and changed the bracelet to a hollow link one.
Its was purchased from maria and has been at this stage for a good while and a keeper for sure.

This one gets the most wrist time by far at the moment!
-
Please make it so... I've been dreaming of a good Royal Oak chronograph for a very long time now...
Ditto, I would definatly love a good ap roo rep over another pannie

Speedy time!

nice work Tribal!
Looking to do same thing with my LV glad to hear it worked out for you.

This
or this one

The gen crown will not fit on a rep tube so you will have to change the tube also. The modern sub I have has a smaller diameter hole in the case for the tube so the hole would need to be drilled out and retaped, not sure if this is the case with all moderns though (my vintage one was a direct swap). Rember The Zigmeister saying some were just a swap but if I remember correctly they were not a TW case.

Thanks guys, although reading some of the threads on photography and photoshop I have a bit to go, but do like that particular pic.
