Once again... thank you all for the comments...
As for the pin... I can always get it PVDed.... but.... I quite like it polished..... makes it a bit unique..... well.. it is a rep/hommage/fraken anyway..... part of the fun.... as PAMman has echoed my sentiments perfectly.......... you guys take care...

Thanks Warren...
Your collection is so far the best I have seen around here... every piece is a gem...... you have a good eye for details....
Me.. I tend to overlook little things that I am not bothered about....

I tried using a small engraving bit with my Dremel..... cost me USD10 for the bit...... but impossible to use it on the dial... too powerful... cannot control it.... margin of error was too small... modifying it using the tip of a small circular file gives more control... although slow... good luck.... I am sure yours will turn out as good as mine.. if not better... you have more knowledge about the shapes of the numbers....
Hi all..
Just to share some tips as some ppl have been asking me about it..
Flav over at Repgeek lume it for me.. with my specific instructions..... You have to ask him about the lume type and color mix.. that I am not sure...
Here goes..
I modified the 6 and 9 using a small circular file with a sharp tip.... slowly filing the edges of the indices to be more like the gen....NOT EASY.. I ruined 1 dial for practice... and it takes hours.. cannot rush it.. all you need is a slip of the file across the dial face and GAME OVER..... slight flaking of the dial at the edges of the indices is ok as Flav can touch it up.. but not any serious flaking....
I told Flav to lume only the walls and base of the indices... fill it with varnish over the lume... finally satin varnish over the whole dial.. THAT'S IT....
Have fun...

Hi..
Is it possible to transplant a genuine 7750 into a rep with the old slow beat asian 7750???
Eg... can I replace the asian 7750 in a old PAM24/25 rep with a genuine swiss 7750??
Will the hands fit??? Are the movements the same size and thickness??
Thinking of my next project...
Thanks for all the help..
Kai
Hey guys...
Here are the pics... not the best I apologise... I only have a simple Ricoh digital camera... non of the high end SLRs....
The coating looks a bit chalky in the pics... but I gurantee it is not.... very smooth.... not like the DSN cases....
The color is also a bit lighter.... pencil grey.... with hint of purple....
This is going to be the ultimate PAM26..... soon....
Kai
If I am not wrong... TiN gives you a gold coating.. what you guys are after is TiAIN.... I have PVDed a caseset here in Singapore using a TiAIN PVD process... looks just like the Pre-V coating... greyish with a very slight tinge of purple... I will post a pic soon...
Hi..
Need some help... I am looking for pics of the original vintage california dial Kampschwimmer.... cannot seem to find any of this 1940s watch.... any help will be great...
Closeup macros will be a bonus!!
Thanks..
Kai
But WHY photoshop a pic to fix the As??? What is the point of that??? I thought the whole point is to mod your rep watch as close to gen as possible... and NOT mod a PICTURE of your rep....
Asad mentioned that he modded the As the way The Zigmeister converted Ls to Ts ....... comments anyone???

The dopplechrono ceramic comes in 2 sizes....
44 mm for the limited edition..... Ref: 3786-01
46mm for the TOPGUN edition.... Ref: 3799-01
Both dials looks exactly the same, except maybe for the SWISS MADE.... and the sizes...
Caseback is different...
The one repped is the 44m one...
What size is this case that is for sale?? I cannot find it on the auction.. anyone knows??
Kai
So who will be the judge here?? I assume is ASAD.....
Are we allowed to vote?? How about picking the best 5 and let us vote?? Obviously be honest and dun vote for yourself....
