Hi It is a scam!!! Paypal contacted me and cancelled my withdrawal and took the USD2000 away... The guy's acount was hijacked.. I knew it was too good to be true... Hi guys, I need some advice and help here. I recently listed a collector's vintage cue on ebay. A US ebay member contacted me and asked me about shipping to her customer in Japan, who is interested in the cue. I suggested that if she purchased it from me direct, I will end the auction early and I quoted her a much higher price. No reply from her for 2 days. The auction (3 day auction) ended this morning with no bids at all. This evening, she paypaled me the money direct and suggested me to send the cue ASAP to Japan, giving me the details of an address in Japan with a Japanese name. So what should I do? Does this sound like a scam?? I heard that it is possible to cancel a paypal payment via the credit card company..... but I am not sure how many days after the payment is made.... Also, what if the credit card used is a fraud??? I have taken out the money out of my paypal account.... If she cancels it after I send the cue, can paypal still charge to my credit card??? I checked her ebay profile... member since 2002, active till now... last transaction in October 2006... rating of 30... all positives... no negative feedbacks at all.. I will wait till the money enters my bank account in 5-7 days and then send the cue.... Is that ok?? Any advice will be much appreciated. THanks all!! Kai

Hi I have just discovered the world of reps this November.... joining RWG, RWI and TRC. I loves these forums... So far, no one has given me any [censored] or agro about being a noobie... I have so far bought straps from V and Elliot, and watches from other members.... everyone have been civilised and well mannered.... All my queries about watches, movements, mods and straps have been answered with no issues... Almost all answers can be found in the forum if one takes the trouble to look for it... I still consider myself a noobie.... but hey... you got to start somewhere... Just take it easy and relax..... life is too short to be [censored] off all the time..... take a step back and the world will be a bigger and happier place.... you don't have to win all the time.... sometimes you gain more by losing... Hi One of my mates in studying in France has managed to get hold of an original PAM OP IX power reserve movement. He does not know what to do with it and will be selling it to me. I will only buy it if it is of use... Can it replace the Asian 21J movement in the PAM reps?? e.g. PAM222 regata. Will the windows of the PAM rep dial fit the movement?? Also, can I replace the rep case with one without the date pusher recess at 7 o'clock?? Where can I get this case?? How will I adjust the date with the original PAM movement?? The OP IX is the power reserve variant of the OP III. It is still based on automatic Valjoux 7750-P1 and features 13 1/4 lignes size 21 jewels Panerai personalisation on the bridges and rotor Glucydur balance 28,800 VPH Incabloc shock protection 42 hours power reserve Its characteristic signature marks are small seconds at 9 and a date at 3, and a power reserve indicator at 4. Hi Mark From the pic, it does not look that bad... is it possible to just make the window slightly bigger towards the left (of the window)??? Also, what about the swiss 7753s in the reps (PAM250, 196...)?? Any problems with the date?? Thanks. Kai

So is it posssible to just get a gen 7753 and replace the asian 7750 in the current reps.. say the PAM250?? Some of the reps sold at Joshua's website and trusty's website stated that they have swiss 7753 movemnt in them.... eg. the PAM 250, PAM196.... Do they have the sunken datewheel problem as well?? Hi What is the best way to buff out minor scratches on polished bezel?? I have some on the bezel next to the crown of my PAM192.... I love the watch and want to keep it nice as long as I can.. Any recommendations?? Polishing cloth?? THanks. Kai

Another possibility is: To sell more watches.. They release new versions every 6 months with better quality and accuracy.... those hardup on details and specifics will want to upgrade to a better version... Just like computer software and various other commercial technology... they release the 1.0 version... then upgrades.... 1.2... 1.3 and then an all new version....2.0..... etc... Just a thought... I might be wrong... Dun hang me for it.... Kai

I notice the power reserve arrow in the reps are inaccurate. An arrowhead instead of the fish-like arrow.. Both the PAM27 and PAM28 in all the websites of the dealers here...
