  1. There's always something magical about Rob's work...and I don't think I ever get used to his masterpieces that he creates. When I put on the gems he's worked on, I actually enjoy them more than some of my gens because I appreciate the art and craftsmanship that goes into them. Awesome as usual.
  2. Ordered through an AD on the East Coast placed months ago, gen strap replacements take forever to show up. No serial # required, just credit card. I had a HKTan strap that was sent out with another watch from Angus which got snagged...so I lost the HKTan strap, Angus replaced the lost watch. I had the HKTan strap for the regular Santos 100 which I sold, very nice. The swiss 7753 was over $1000+ if I remember, it's been awhile, but a nice piece.
  3. We need to get a GB going on correct Pre-V cases to go with these amazing dials!
  4. Nice Ssurfer, my grail 28 PVD Mine will hopefully be done when Rob and Jen come back from France...mmmmm, LOVE PVD...
  5. Hey S, I'm no Cartier expert, but I remember a couple seasoned members did quite a bit of research on it...maybe a search for the chrono 100. I know I did ALOT of research before deciding on it, the nice thing about the swiss 7753 version is no recessed date. The dial on mine is more white/cream, not silver which I believe is accurate. Watch was purchased from our good friend Angus who was able to source it, it did take him a few weeks but he came through like a champ. I'm more of a casual dresser so my PAMS get most of my wrist action, but I do love wearing it when I get a chance. Definitely large size and presence on the wrist. Funny thing, one of my favorite watches after college was my gen Cartier Santos, which today looks like a girls watch after all the super sizing we've been doing over the years.
  6. I have small nicks on both my white and black RCs...not bad, but i know it will get worse. Do any of the dealers sell the SS bezels as well to swap out? The RG is one of my grails, but unless they get a better rubber bezel, I like to think I'll wait...but I know better...Bring on the RG.
  7. Theo, we're going to have to meet up sometime, I HAVE to see some of your beauties in person! I went back and saw pics of your other PVD beauties, and I'm craving another one so bad now
  8. I've never liked the DLC, but this pencil lead grey looks awesome! Another awesome option for us to play with!
  9. hey shultz, i have the cartier santos 100 chrono 7753, it is very accurate and worth getting. i've owned the swiss santos 100 non chrono 2 times, and sold it each time because i just was never fully happy with it, even with my HK tan strap. saw all the eye candy a year ago, and finally got one from Angus, I would try him. it took awhile, but he was able to get it for me. i ordered a gen cartier gator strap for it as well since i felt it deserved it. one note, the santos 100 and the santos 100 chrono strap sizes are different. dave
  10. Nice one, I have the gen Black Dial and the Grey Rep V2...love the skyland! The blue makes me start itching for a blue dial since I don't have any...
  11. Beautiful Theo! I have my 28 and Dani's 28 coming in soon! Amazing collection there my friend! dave
  12. I'm interested Angus, please note all the comments made earlier as they are all valid.
  13. Hoping the drama on the the Dials is squashed...this is another AMAZING project that one of our valued members took the time and effort to provide to our community. A HUGE improvement, remember a gen is a gen...but light years away from what has been available. I am consistently surprised by the generous efforts of our special guys and what inspires them...and to share this with our community absolutely kicks ass. I can't wait to get mine, and most likely will only be doing 1 or 2 projects so I will be sharing the left over dial with supporting platinum members. dave p.s. pamfried, i look forward to seeing your project as well. i never see this as a competition thing, but an improvement thing that hopefully brings better opportunities that we can all benefit from.
  14. I must have been asleep at the wheel...and missed this GB! Someone please PM me, dial looks GORGEOUS!
  15. Later T, you'll be missed my friend! When you do come back, hopefully we'll have some new amazing watches for you to catch up on... dave
  16. sending you a PM lello, thanks my friend! dave
  17. It's a WRAP, 35-3 Win for the Trojans...USC is looking good!
  18. I actually got the call from my AD also that my DSSD is also in, I was first on the list so I'll be picking it up. I knew it would be a hot seller so I'm thinking about flipping it or using it as leverage for something I really want...i'll post a photo next week. The price was $9000 before tax. CBR, if you're really hurting for one, I would consider letting you get it(unless I FALL in LOVE with it) because...I can't have you change your name i'll PM you next week dave
  19. Hey Guys, Giving a shout out to all College Football Fans, Tonites USC-Ohio State Game should be a good one, First Great game of the year. I have several demeaning side bets with friends, but I don't plan on losing and washing anyone's cars. Lord Rasta gave me a friendly shout so I thought I would do a quick Post. Much love to the USC Fam in Los Angeles! And of course Carter the party starter is wearing his Cardinal and Gold this Saturday. Fight On USC! Go Trojans!!! :victory:
  20. Hey T, You'll be sorely missed, I too have to take a step back from time to time, but I always do make my way back. I've throughly enjoyed your posts and contributions, you've been an amazing part of our community. I hope to see you back...sooner than later! best dave
  21. Nice, alot of Pam fans here...reps are what got me excited about Panerai to get my gens: Here are my Gens 24i 111i 188h 212i I've owned pretty much ALL the Pam reps too, but holding onto my modded... 27-289x 28-289x 063-289x 127-eddie lee ultimate but looking at UJs collection...wow!!!
  22. I had an AUDI A8 years ago and I can attest, it is a fun car with kick for a large body...but the problem I encountered was with the AWD Quatro tranny...when it gave out, the dealer quoted me $11,500 for a replacement transmission. I went with another independent shop who did it for $7500, other than that the car ran like a champ without any issues. And for a V8, between city and highway I averaged 16+ miles...not bad.
  23. Congrats dave Wishing you and your family the best! dave, carter and gracie
  24. That looks friggin sick! I think I'm loving the "Vader" look on all things these days...
